Great video as always. Quick question - why slide into an RVH here? Would you not want to slide past the post a bit? Looking for some advice as I typically slide past the post lol.

7 months late but his #1 rule for post play is dont get beat short side. With high skill players if that play happens and you slide past the post and they start noticing that tendency then they'll just wait you out if its a lefty and pull it quick back hand and your in trouble or they even dont shoot and catch you biting hard and beat you on a wraparound. If it's a righty they just out wait your slide and they have all the net in the world on the far side. Your also just leaving yourself open to not reading the play and that shot not coming but a quick back going into a guy back door and then your really screwed.
RVH seems more efficient in every read you can make from that position. No reason to ever put yourself out of position by sliding past the post. The travel time from top of the crease to post is also shorter than the travel time from top the the crease to past the post.

Hey great video, is there a reason the guy in the slot isn't shooting every once inawhile just to keep the goalies a bit more honest during the drill?

The focus is on the RVH. The goalies are high enough level where that doesn’t really matter. I would rather they focus on the goal of the skate
