Sure, don't let that you can't afford a necessary card stop you from playing, but support your lgs too.

Question for Joe Cherries: I'm curious. Why do you say that Fetch Lands are better than OG Duals? I'm not debating you, just wanted to hear your logic on that. Thanks! Love your guys videos!
Fetch are all basically rainbow lands, they shuffle the library, they go to the grave yard for things like delve, delirium, or just to be replayed with Crucible of worlds, they get 2 landfall triggers. The list goes on ☺️
Well that's good because I have multiples of all the fetch lands (thanks MH2 and Zendikar Rising!) and the only OG dual that I have is a Tropical Island that I bought because I love Simic. That cost me like a months worth of allowance!

The problem with extra turn effects is that they are 100% free. You basically end up paying 0 mana for an explore in the worst case.

Huge shout out to Beezy for the hardened scales > doubling season comment 🎉. In almost any non planeswalker scenario, there is a better choice over doubling season.

I like delayed blast fireball in decks like torbran or Gisela. Three mana deal 4 to everything not yours or 6 mana deal 7 with torbran or 10 with gisela :)

to me, this video is: CARDS MOSTworthy PRINTING ( December 2022).
After corporate greed, Hasbro opnened my eyes and now i'm not gonna buy a single piece of shit from that company and print everything i need.
I like Command the Dread hoard over Rise of the Dark realms, but every card listed was fairly cheap and will bust games wide open, looks like a great list! Especially with the current price of these cards!
Command is more flexible but rise kinda is a fair expropriate
i use command in Greven, just a rise that pumps greven
Just remember that Time Warp can be redirected, I've used redirection cards to have them target me :)
Branching Evolution is better than hardening scales. These guys need to do a bit more research before trying to get people to buy cards.
If only there had been a retro border phyrexian altar reprint to complete the set. Definitely picked up the other two.

I just wanted to add abaut the "time rules" - and the convesation with Extra Turn spells...
I never sow that any one dont play cards for theirs deck that takes a LOT of time on theirs turns... iam pretty sure that a lot decks takes MUCH more time to play, then others decks in 3 turns... and becose of it - the "tume rules" is no longer valid argument for Extra Turns effects - at least in my opinion.
IF some group really wat to have TIME rules - they shoud just use "chees clocks" and make evyrone time like 30 minutes - if you pass it, you loose... thats easiest way to "lock" time for eveyrone - and then if some one want to play extra turns spells - he must play fast ;)
I don't get it.... Green gets absolute monsters with keywords and extra abilities at less than the 1 CMC per 1 Power/Toughness of other colors... and that's on top of the absurd ramp Green has.... 5 CMC is pretty hefty in all but Green.... 5 CMC converted to Green feels like 3 CMC.
I felt identified with the "Grey merchant and the n Grey merchant again because someone had a way of doing it" xD

Also, Aetherflux reservoir is one of my favorite wincons: Play Bolass' Citadel, Sensei Top, Aetherflux reservoir, GG... once I managed to turn 4 Citadel, after a couple of cards played from the deck I stumbled into the top, then sheoldred, so I kept drawing and playing the top until I got to the reservoir, and then I blew the whole table... turn 4 no one had responses, it was awesome
I will almost always run Alrund's Epiphany over Time Warp/Walk/etc. I pulled 3 borderless versions. And you can foretell it, and you get birds when it resolves.

Honestly, i would had put Helm of the Hosts on the list as it's potentially the most powerful equipment in the game especially for casual play. Even if it's equipped onto a Reassembling Skeleton it puts in the value.

Time warp is a bit of a worry with deflecting swat around these days. Cost aside I'd run the other two 5 cmc spells first. It is great, just be conscious when casting!

Love the video guys ty for making these! One suggestion i have is to slightly adjust the price tag so that it doesn't cover the text on the card. I've had trouble reading certain parts on some cards.

I hit an Altar of Dementia in pack 1 of a draft, then just snatched up all the artifact creatures I could get my hands on. I was able to get the artifact that taps to create a colorless and you gain one life, then a few of the artifact creature that lets you tap it to gain a life. I think Altar would be a super fun commander deck to build.
When I saw that diabolic intent was getting a reprint in a standard legal set, I sold mine immediately because I knew I could buy 3 or 4 with the money I got for just one

i would put the shadowmoor filter lands above pain lands. for any number of colors. and for devoid(wingding) mana.
A lot of those are more expensive, but they are probably better lands. It's hard to say whether they're more "worth their price"

On the topic of Hardened Scales vs Doubling Season, I am currently running a Hardened Scales in my Simic Ezuri deck though at some point might want to replace it with Doubling Season (assuming the price hopefully becomes not so prohibitive)
Ezuri tends to go tall whereas Hardened Scales really rewards you for going wide.
