    So good Samuel. Thanks for making these videos. My biggest wish atm is how you edit your x-t5 files from start to fininsh video! The colors and warm tones you achieve are just another level.

    The Fuji XT5 is a great gem of a camera . I’ve had mine for a bit over 6 months and I love it . I pair it with either the Voigtlander 23 1.2 or the Sigma 23 1.4 , and the 18-50 Sigma 2.8 .

    That's Hakone at 6:50 right? I remember that station vividly. Hokone is such a BEAUTIFUL gem in Japan that a lot of people miss.

    Honestly, if any photographer was considering starting a channel this video is proof to just start with what you’ve got.
    iPhone vision plus great stills is the perfect combo for TH-cam.
    Simple but it just works.

    Gorgeous video, stunning captures...another classic collection of work by Sam Elkins. Side note, I primarily shoot with a 50mm f/1.4 on my Nikon FM2n but definitely gravitating to the 23mm f/1.4 when I shoot on my X-T5. Loving that 35mm focal length.

      Sold my A7IV for it. Haven’t looked back either. For the price of body + 24-70 combo. Now i have x-t5, 23 1.4, 56 1.2 and 70-300 to cover my whole range. No post edits. Plug in usb-c and import and upload my photos videos. Sure FF is superior with ISO. But advantages to my workflow and time saving, it’s crazy. And next step up is GFX. If they manage to make 50mp. smaller one in the future.

    Beautiful shots and the video wants me to go to Japan again. A personal thought. All your photos look very teal and orange kind of edited. Why does everybody do that, especially when they are shooting Fujifilm....this kind of makes a very personal trip to Japan look very commercial and sterile since this is exactly the look commericals nowadays go for. What Im trying to say is, that the colors look very forced onto the photos instead of representing the colors you might saw on location.

    • @SamuelElkinsPhoto
      @SamuelElkinsPhoto  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment but honestly, I cannot agree less. I’ve developed this editing style over the last 10 years and this is exactly how I like to shoot. If it’s not for you totally fine, but this is how I see light color and my surroundings.
