Going to be some VERY mad beavers!! In about 3 weeks we can watch ya tear it out again!!! Head band view was fine. If you start at the back side by hand and going deep & wide it will under mind the base, causing a bigger channel thats harder to plug.....with you at less risk. Stay safe and keep smiling!!

if you were my paster id follow you everywhere brother, not religious but love it as always terrell keep up the good work my friend
now get three inch pvc pipe and two greet and two of those white posts with the knobs on them, along with some wire. drill many holes near both ends of the pipe. drive a post behind the dam and the other in front. wire the pipe to the posts at whatever depth you want, then the water will never accumulate.

If you need to do this again, try weakening the dam from the front, all the way across, from the bottom up. There is a good chance that the dam could collapse if you weaken it enough. And I love the videos!

Clear the debris that is causing the white water. Beaver start with sticks and add mud. Remove the sticks, then the mud, release the water. Work from the front of dam towards the water. If the beaver repair a narrow breach it is easy to clear.

These kinda projects, would they work for church groups? Not little ones but teens? Work off pent up energy from being coupled up inside all winter. One year when I work at a church the kids need community service hours and a person needed their house painted but family member was allergic, so one day they went away and the kids painted the house. Even had one kid who's dad had taught him how to paint and he did the ladder parts. Kids got community hours, had a blast and something to talk about the rest of the summer.

Hay Terrell once you have cleared some of the beaver dams and the water has gone down can't you get a machine in there and clear the rest of it away so it's not so easy for the beaver to plug that gap up again ??

I would lay in some pvc pipe in the channel. They may build on top of it but it will still flow. Need at least 6 foot length and 2 inch diameter.

Great video. I'm not sure I'd be running the chain saw in where I could not see. The other thing is that mud-dirt will dull your chain quickly and it does not take much. Might use an old chain for that. Keep that water flowing.
Beavers don't use old wood. They cut fresh for their dams.
