Jbl if you want your house to shake with music made for clubs...but for better instrument separation and overall quality I would go with Sony, I would say it is a bit more "flat" sounding and versatile. But yeah I can see why many would prefer the JBL in a PARTYspeaker
As I already predicted yesterday, the JBL Partybox 310 has way more sub bass than the Sony, but what the Sony does somewhat better is the mids and highs at 100% volume, and that's because of the Sony is not putting as much of bass as the JBL is putting out! Another great video Willington!❤

I took the JBL 310 and Sony xv800 camping, the JBL is definitely stronger, but the battery on the JBL didn't last 12 hours at max! While Sony was grooving for 21 hours! And as far as sound and clarity are concerned, Sony breaks it down..
I am a guy attracted to more bass in songs. I have tested them all. And in terms of bass, jbl has no match. This is the truth. But most sony fans just don't accept it. I am not saying that sony is a bad speaker. It's just not the speaker i would prefer over a jbl. Anyhow, speaker selection is subjective as some people prefer a good mix and some prefer a good amount of bass (like me).
Sony sounds boxy although mids and highs are more pronounced. Jbl sounds more natural and mids and highs recessed. In some tracks Sony sounds unexciting.

There is no such thing as "Level 2 Bass Boost". The two options of Bass Boost is "Deep" and "Punchy". These two bass options are completely different from one another. The first gives you, as the name suggests, deeper bass while the second emphasizes on upper bass. Each Bass Boost comes with its own compromise, on the first you gain in deepness but almost have no upper bass and on the second you gain in the upper but lose on the deep bass. In each case, the frequency response is there and based on what you choose, one is accentuated and the other is diminished. Long story short... There are no Bass Boost Levels! It's quality option one and quality option two.
