Back with another episode of Stunt Tips! Today we focus on one of the most essential aspects of building a stunt bike, The Clean Air Mod. This is one of the most inexpensive mods to do on your motorcycle but also one of the most important, Sealing off access from the engine to the airbox system is very crucial for long wheelies to allow the motorcycle to do long wheelies without the issue of suffocating the throttle bodies in oil and overtime seizing / locking up your engine. I give you all the steps in today's video as well as a parts list so you can do this mod yourself..before it's too late!

Always a good idea to drop a rag over your throttle body. Never know if you may accid drop something inside it
or tuck a "shop towel" (blue specialty paper towels) into each one that way when your done and pull them out it pulls any crud out with it.

crankcase breather should only be 2 inches long. absolutely NO reason to run it to the front.
its pressured. not under vacuum.
the crank case breather VENTS pressure.
"PCV valve", people miss the meaning, POSITIVE crankcase vacuum
and to say it vents pressure would be an oversimplification. What it does like he has it for stunts is venting yes. When its working as originally designed it recirculates. Unburnt combustion gasses that would otherwise settle into the oil, is reignited in the combustion chambers, and works with an EGR valve on some engines to supposedly help the environment and other nonsense. No reason to run it to the front, no, but you may see some residue buildup in the area if you decide to tuck it.
hey dank, good video im watching this because im building a 2020 zx6. i did this on my 09 kawi, my hoose on the top of the engine broke and oil hit my exhaust while i was doing a burnout, my bike almost burnt down, i recoment use a stronger hoose so it wont break.
this was from my girlfriends user haha lol xD

You should really think about making a company focused on building stunt bikes for people, I'm sure it would do great in Florida and everything would be for (recreational use in a closed course)
The problem is a lot of what he is doing is crazy hack job level and its not good, not safe.
Jediknight 129 It may not seem safe, but most of the mods they’re doing is about the safest things you can do to a bike, also a lot of it helps the bikes life even if you don’t stunt

@@betterdenu999 some of the parts he has put on are pretty good, the custom stunt subframes are pretty nice but a LOT of this guys workmanship is hackjob level that is SHOCKINGLY poorly done. The amount of engines he has destroyed is testament to that. The way he does the mods to the triple trees for new bars is really NOT the way to do it. The wiring on some of the bikes he has shown has been properly sketchy as well. The focus is on a bike looking 'clean' rather than worrying about longevity or safety.
This attitude explains why the panigale grom imolated itself. So much of what they do is based on it being quick or looks rather than reliable and safe. I guarantee that none of his builds would pass Scrutineering inspection at any of the events I've done. Hillclimb, road racing or vintage racing.
As for 'nothing about riding is safe' that's a bullshit cop out. Is it as safe as a car, no, but there are things you should do as a matter of course to minimise risk to self and to other people.. Iv done stunt riding and raced motorbikes. I've got the scars to go with it.
At a MINIMUM if you are doing this kind of stuff a rated Back Protector, boots rated for impact and penetration and something with at least 4-6 seconds of slide resistance on arms, hands and legs and a helmet thats at least SNELL though my preference is ACU Gold rated (requirement for track/Road racing in the UK)
I'm waiting for an amputation at the moment (not a riding injury, an operation that a surgeon screwed up) and shit's ugly man. I've been the first on the scene to a dude getting a footpeg through their calf after a crash off road, seen the aftermath of a guy fucking up and ending up underneath a Semi, Nasty shit. Iv broken ribs in a decent jacket and kevlar jeans and that sucked but iv always walked away from every crash.
Riding on the road on the group rides stunting, I get it, I've done it, I understand the buzz and the reasons its fun but all you need is one fuckwit in a car who target fixates watching the show for a second and boom you are done, in a tee and shorts for sure. I mean... it happens regularly enough to guys who are just riding in a pack on a club ride, Shit how many times has his videos shown someone going down and 3 or 4 other people nearly going down because they have to react to avoid the guy. You don't just have to be good enough to do what you are doing, ride your ride you have to be good enough to guarantee that if the guy in front fucks up and loops it or slips during a transition from seated to sat on tank/to standing on his extended frame and end up in the middle of the road in front of you/you getting nailed in the back by the guys bike as it goes off wherever the fuck it likes.
Or hell we all know public roads are shit, ruts, potholes, the worn in tracklines from thousands of cars. All it takes is one off imput from the asphalt and you do an Indian Larry, at a closed course event or in a parking lot, You land , dust yourself off, swear a bit, and.have a plastics and levers bill and get to have everyone take the piss while you get checked out by the medic, on the road in the pack you are laid there praying that the 3 guys behind you who are looking at the sky front wheel way up saw you go down and have enough skill and control to avoid you without causing a pile up.
Given the change in UK policing policy that allows police to ram motorcycle riders they are pursuing due to the actions of the shithead inner city motorcycle thieves that roll up on scooters in traffic and attack riders with hammers and acid in spray bottles I sure as fuck wouldn't ride in the stunt pack on the road anymore. Last thing I need is a copper deciding to apply that policy to me and a few mates having fun on an empty ring road at 3am. The shame of being knocked off by a 1.8 litre diesel Rebadged Chevy Cobalt or fucking Neon would be worse than the broken ribs...

Thanks for the vid man. I just did mine, but I'm just wondering what you did with that little hose on the left of the bike that connects to the air box?
All you did is reroute the crankcase oil pressure vent tube. So instead of it releasing it through the airbox.Btw wont blow your engine up. Might stall it. Now its just gonna push through and out that cheap garbage filter on there. The correct way would have been to use a puke tank. Which wont spew oil everywhere. Imho not good if doing stunts. Btw to clarify puke tank, its called a catch can. That blowing up thing is so misleading and false. Your motor blows up from the oil pick up tube not sucking up oil from the bottom of the engine. Which in a 12 o'clock position would put your oil pick up tube at 3 o'clock. Meaning oil is at 6 o'clock. Its called gravity. This is just terrible advice sorry. I watch all your vids but no just no.

Thomas Taylor what he did was explain that for people that aren’t as mechanicly inclined as you so they can do the same to their bike.
1Bike 1Hooligan i feel like being mechanically inclined is a sub set of stunting because of mods and damage. And to be frank, if youre gonna ride the bike the way its not meant to be rode, you need to be tip top.
So the only down side to this is your gonna be leaking oil from that filter right but besides that this is still perfectly fine??
You are 100% correct. Being a wet sump vehicle, when at 12 the oil will be at 6. Gravity is a law, not a suggestion. Only way to fix that, is to add another feed line at the correct position. Groms are NOTORIOUS for this. There is a big oil mod done to most stunted out groms because it will starve the top end of oil while in a wheelie for too long.
Hey I had a question about the air mod now when you put the air filter on the end of your crankcase hose why is that necessary can't you just plug it back into your air box just wanted to know just bought an 06 ZX6r thinking about stunting it out

DarkSide Ultimate no, completely fine to ride it just stops oil overflow from draining into the throttle bodies

U know way more than me, ive never done this before. Ive messed around and switched my own air filter but wat im getting to here is do you think u should clamp the T on both sides just in case it somehow becomes disconnected?

Can you advise on doing this to a 1997 P2 model Zx7r 750cc Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle...step by step to achieve same clean air mod as here in your video..I used jb weld to seal my oem plates. Didn't need to run tube between them nor as you did with hose nipple to nipple. The hose from the bottom of my air box its connected to the bottom of air box. I got 1 hose on bottom Left of air box that is sealed at lower end. The pipe just above carbs has hose bit longer then one you used it has togo to 1 of 2 nipples from front top portion of my airbox.

Yes I have a stunted out 05 ninja 636 and a 05 cbr 600rr that I'm building into a stunt bike right now
You gotta have very good self control to not go too fast for your ability and crash if you're responsible and have had alot of dirt bike experience you might be okay but if you're new to bikes it's almost always a bad idea most people end up totaling the bike and are in the hospital for a couple weeks when they start on a 600

Those hoses have nothing to do with oil. Those are reed valves that inject clean air into the exhaust port for use with a cat to burn off the unburnt fuel in the exhaust for emissions purposes. All you are doing is leaning out your bike.
Is there some kinda mod you can do for a quad as i'm looking to do something to make it where it won't do that for my 02 Yamaha Warrior 350 ?

Bro I watch all your vids but this method isnt good, I even told Brian the same thing. I did it this same exact way and any long wheeile I did, oil would pour out of that filter. What I did was ran the line from the crankcase to a brass t that goes to both reed valves. Best method I've done so far and I barley lose any oil, just blow white smoke here and their. Is this the exact way you have it set up? Do you lose oil?
