That's the whole point of it being in the dark. Not being able to see what is coming is disorientating, and all of the forces you experience are unexpected, so it feels more intense than it actually is.
Yeah I got a tour of the building with the lights on and the drop elevator is so cool to see in action. It isn’t gravity reliant so you need to pull it down and it’s really loud when it gets pushed up but you never hear that unless your backstage
Just rode this, I normally hate coasters but this was absolutely amazing! I rode it 10 times lmao. The drop was super fun and the 88ft drop down at the end when your out of the dark didn’t feel that big. It was my first fun coaster I definitely recommend it :)

(Sorry it's a bit long) also sorry if it doesn't really make sense in some parts, I just quickly typed it down without really checking grammar or punctuation🥴 I remember the first time I saw the ride, my brother and my dad tried to get me to go on it with them and they would show me the map saying that you just go in a circle and then a little hill no biggie. My brother decides to get on it by himself to prove that it wasn't bad. My dad stayed with me because I was pretty young, we stayed next to the rail where you can see the cart leave the station and go into the cave. We thought the ride had stopped since he wasn't coming out of the cave, once he got off he looked my dad straight in the eyes and said "she is DEFINITELY not ready for that." My dad was taken back by that statement and went on it while my brother stayed with me, and when my dad came off he said "yeah, that's a hard pass." A year later when I finally got the courage to go on it and they thought I could handle it, they decided not to tell me about the drop and when it happened I nearly pissed myself.
I went from fearing verboten, to only riding verboten to have ridden every coaster in the park. Now I'm patiently waiting for pantheon...can't wait for the 6 hour wait lines😂

Gregory Golub There is a good chance that you will find an opening there. They hire a lot of people since the minimum amount of operators is 6, but fully staffed is 10. Compared to a ride like Apollo, which is 4/7. In my years in Area 3 (2013 and 2016), they were always needing people there.

I was the same when I rode this with my niece. Hadn't been on a coaster since 2012. Verbolten scared me to death. 🥺 I didn't think I would ride it again, but I did during the next visit and was able to enjoy it this time. Lol.
It is both super tame from a height perspective compared to the 200 foot tall ones. But, it is designed to be very tight and freak you out. Even after riding it several times, it is still freaky. Each of the different color trains have a slightly different theme, sounds, lights, etc.
It looks very short and tame on video, but I remember being taken completely off guard and being shocked by Verbolten. And the theming was awesome. I really felt like they played a prank on me when you're lazily going along and it suddenly launches.
I went to Bucsh Gardens for the first time today. I went on 3 rides, a log rollercoaster, the verbolten, and Pompeii. I really loved the verbolten and me and my friend went on it 4 times (we wanted to do 5 since thats her lucky number but we didn't have enough time.) This was a school trip. My mom also went on this ride and she though I was crazy for going so many times lol. I also showed this ride to my bro and he says he'd ride it, but idk bc he got scared of a mall ride we went to not long ago.
I rode it today! And holy the big drop caught me of guard! It gave me Expedition Everest (Big drops) and rockin roller coaster (High speed take-offs) vibes! Imma ride it again :0
that’s exactly what i’m thinking, but the sudden drop in the dark gives me tower of terror vibes since it’s unexpected and it feels like you’re falling. rock and roller coaster also went pretty quick through a tunnel full of themed decor in a short period of time, and the final drop of verbolten reminds me of everest.
So long as you don't know about it (and don't have people constantly yelling to get ready) that drop can actually be really good, otherwise its just another drop
I rode this ride last weekend and I loved it. We had the green train and it was amazing and being in the dark during the part in the show building was amazing not being able to see what was going on was what made this roller coaster so amazing also the sudden drop was a neat aspect to the ride and I would definitely ride again and the homage it pays to the big bad wolf is a great tribute too!
I have been on this ride like 60 time and I never noticed that there were black light in it! Still the first time I went on this ride I was little and I remember peeing myself on that drop! The one this I love most about this ride is that at night if you ride ground seat and you get ghost face then the headlights of the car will shut off for the rest of the ride. Now I have not been in a while so they lights have shut it off but it is still pretty cool.

I went on this with my boyfriend two months ago and he wanted to go on it but I wasn’t so sure I did not know there was going to be a drop that scared me the most I was shaking like a leaf afterwards it’s a good ride but I had my eyes closed most of the ride lols 😂

I had never known Verbolten had that drop thing, I always thought it was a short steep drop. If I rode this, that would be the part I hate because I do not like drop towers, the rest of the ride would be fun though.
@@sylviaslydavis405 Oh, I know! I rode it in December of 2019 and that drop happened so fast that you didn't feel that falling sensation that you feel when you're on a drop tower. When it dropped and it went to the 2nd launch I was like what just happened?! Even though I was expecting that drop. Dad said "WOW! haha...what just happened?!"

I like this one, not too bad. Was told there was a drop in the tunnel, and wasnot expecting that but not too bad. Unfortunately since Ive had hip surgery it is hard for me to sit on rides now as just the way the seats are on rides makes it painful. Also is stopping at the top new? Everytime I had been on it we just go through the bridge and not stop
There's just no reason for the trim on the final drop climax to be THAT strong.. They could literally make it a good coaster if they at least let that drop be enjoyable!

Honestly, this one is about the only one that the video has a HUGE spoiler. But, it really isn't noticeable in the video, since the effect is much, much more of a 1-second, "whoah!" where you stop breathing for 1 second, and then, its like, "well, that's unique, terrifying, and really cool and fun. Did you go? Did you ride, and did you get the fun spot?
It’s probably a vip tour, verbolten isn’t like space mountain where sometimes the lights can be on and the ride still runs.(I’m a verbolten ride operator) the only times the lights are on is before opening and if the emergency stop button is pressed. So a vip tour is the only reason I can think of that would give them a full ride with the lights on

Probably one of the crews turned it on s they can see if anything is wrong with the ride or to show whats inside for those of us riding.

I like this one, not too bad. Was told there was a drop in the tunnel, and wasnot expecting that but not too bad. Unfortunately since Ive had hip surgery it is hard for me to sit on rides now as just the way the seats are on rides makes it painful. Also is stopping at the top new? Everytime I had been on it we just go through the bridge and not stop

There's just no reason for the trim on the final drop climax to be THAT strong.. They could literally make it a good coaster if they at least let that drop be enjoyable!

Honestly, this one is about the only one that the video has a HUGE spoiler. But, it really isn't noticeable in the video, since the effect is much, much more of a 1-second, "whoah!" where you stop breathing for 1 second, and then, its like, "well, that's unique, terrifying, and really cool and fun.

It’s probably a vip tour, verbolten isn’t like space mountain where sometimes the lights can be on and the ride still runs.(I’m a verbolten ride operator) the only times the lights are on is before opening and if the emergency stop button is pressed. So a vip tour is the only reason I can think of that would give them a full ride with the lights on
