    Can I use it on a PC where I cannot update or install any programs? Would it have all its functionality in terms of noise cancellation without downloading anything to the PC, just by connecting it?

      Yes it should work out the box without downloading anything. You won’t be able to customise the settings

    Great review. I’m between the evolve or the wireless engage model 🤔

      The new wireless engage looks great but haven’t tried it!

    Hey good review. Does the mic on your model turn all the way to the other side so you can wear the mic on the left side?

    Nice video as always, Christopher. I have a question: Do you know if Cambridge Audio is going to release a new Melomania line of earbuds? I am so happy with both the Melomania 1 and the Melomania Touch and would like to get a new model with ANC if possible. Any news? Thanks and regards from Spain!!!

      Thank you!
      Not sure to be vie at on CA, I’d love ANC but I feel like they’ve been focussing on Hi-Fi separates. Despite a great convo with their MD after my original Melomania Touch review I’ve basically heard nothing from them, too small fry for their PR team I guess.

    A very comprehensive review! Great to hear what they would sound like to the person on the other end of the call. As someone who is very much limited by Apple and their interfaces (lightning, USB C only MacBook Pro) do you know if they make a Bluetooth version of this headset which could be a good alternative for people in our situation?

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment! Yep Apple can be limiting on ports, the Jabra Evolve2 65 is a wireless version of their headsets - a bit more premium - and I haven’t tried it yet, but if the Evolve2 40 is anything to go by it could be very good!

    Hey there. That was an extremely detailed review. I've been watching you for a while now. I've just got myself a new Jabra Connect 4h. I believe it's the exact same model, but am not sure why it's called differently. Do you have any info on that? :)

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not 100% sure I'm afraid, will try and look into it! thanks for sharing that piece of information.

    If I connect the Usb A version through a connector to connect it to Type C android phone, will it work?
    Will the noise cancelling microphone cancel the surrounding noise and will the person on other side be able to hear me clearly?

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      On phones using an adapter can be hit and miss.
      The noise reeducation will help but if it’s a horrendous environment you might be asking too much. If you think of call Center levels of noise it should be fine, more than that and you may want to go higher end

      @@HamerReviews OKay, I will go with the type C version then. Sorry for asking but I don't know much about tech, is type C port same for apple and android devices? Will the type C version of the headset work on Android as well as apple devices?

      I think you'd need the USB C version as I've found often dongles won't work

    I have a company laptop that blocks installation of any software. Can I use my personal laptop to set up the headphones eg sidetone settings and then will they keep the settings when plugged into the work laptop, or does the software have to be on the computer I'm using at the time?

    lousy headset! I used to use Jabra evolve 40, but it broke and my company got me this piece of turd. Audio is OK, but the microphone is awful. Once I started using it instead of the old Evolve 40, people started complaining about how muffled I sound. It's as if I was calling from an old dial up phone. I tried Audacity where I could explicitly set the sample rate for the recording and the sound was still really bad. You pay for the brand, not for quality.

      Are you sure it's for all jabra evolve 30 out just your one with some kind of manufacturing detect?

    • @alesh-cz
      @alesh-cz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@QuantumRishi Well you're right I only tested the one I got. Later on I also tried the headset on my colleague's notebook and the mic sound was better. I went to every dark corner of windows settings and couldn't find anything in the device driver/sound settings/device peroperties or even the jabra direct app that would change the mic quality on my computer. I'm getting a new notebook soon, so I hope the issue will be gone then.

      It was very odd, I did speak to Jabra about it and they didn't have many reports of it.
