You are the most helpful youtuber for Bali recommendations out there! You are so smart, easy to follow, and helpful! Im so happy to have found you. I am a digital nomad as well. My boyfriend and I are in Barcelona, trying to make our way to Bali by mid March 2022. We are a bit nervous and making research. We are still trying to figure out the business visa (tho we are independent remote workers). We hope it goes well. We are following all your instructions. Thank you! I hope we can continue to get updates from you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 (subscribed)
Aw thank you SO much for your sweet comment! I am so happy to hear you found it so helpful. Best of luck to both of you! Let me know if there are any specific videos you want me to make :) Thanks for your support!
@@TheNomadNextdoor oh gosh! so many lol. I think that at the moment i would like to know if its true that the lifestyle there is not the same and there's no tourism etc. Also, how you go about your search for housing when you are sharing a villa with others. Also, your daily routine in bali could be super cool
@@dani-moves thanks for the ideas! I have noted them. Bali is definitely not the same now as it was a few years ago, but Canggu is still pretty busy! I will try and make some of the videos soon :)
I’ve been to Bali a couple of times, returning next year for a few months. Great update for me. Terrific video!Straightforward, well shot, informational (not the “look at me, look at me in a waterfall” like so many) you captured Bali. Thank you. Definitely saving the info given. You have a new fan!
Hello, Wow! I agree 100% you are the most helpful. I also appreciate you keeping it simple. I am moving to Bali in July. I will continue to watch for more of your useful videos. Thank you again
Wow this was so helpful! Thank you so much girl! I just booked my ticket to Bali for April 1st today and I’m so excited to start living the digital nomad life 😭😍 Thank you for linking up the details in the description too 😘
Interesting and informative. One thing, though. If one is NOT an experienced scooter driver, getting on Bali roads to get experience isn't a great idea.
Yes, trying to learn on the busy streets of Bali is not the best idea. I personally learned in an uncrowded neighborhood after a couple months of being in Bali and observing the roads from the back of a scooter. Much better to go somewhere more remote to learn.
New subscriber, excellent Vlog well done. You are living the dream, many Australians like myself love Bali (for the right reasons). I will support your channel 😊
Since 2020 you can't just buy a simcard at your destination...you have to register it at customs (no tax if it's less than 500$) or you need a Telkomsel sim card. Only they can unlock a foreign phone for 3 month.
I have never heard of that before. It has always worked out just showing my passport to the person working at the sim card shop. I am guessing they register it into the system.
@@TheNomadNextdoor Hi, I just found your 'Bali on arrival + costs" I am elderly and your information has helped me. Would you have email contact for Ajust so I am able to contact him in advance. I also need a car and driver for trips. Many thanks.
Thank you for your good information. I am thinking of renting a room in a guest house, but I'm not sure about the kitchen. Will I be allowed to cook or not?
Thanks for this amazing video! Do you know if its okay to go to bali with a dog? I'm a digital nomad and I have a golden retriever that is also my emotional support dog (PSD) you know a place where i could find this information? Thank you, you do an amazing job!
You're welcome! Thanks for your support. I honestly don't know much about bringing pets to Bali, but I did find a post about it here, which seems to be helpful: ouryearinbali.com/can-i-bring-my-dog-to-bali/ Hope it helps! :)

Hi! It depends on how far you are going, and how long you want them for. Normally from the airport to Ubud is 300K for a private driver. Hope this helps!
the restricted rules are lifted since today, no more banned countries and you can quarantine in Bali (direct flight only, 7 days quarantine) hopefully international flights will be back to bali soon, especially in march there will be a motogp events in lombok)
How much does it cost to hire a driver I don’t have an international drivers license and I’m not sure if I’m good enough with directions to be on a scooter in a foreign country lol
It depends on where you are going. You can also download the GoJek app once you have an Indonesian SIM card (similar to an Uber) and have them take you around. Usually after one ride you can get their contact info directly from them and hire them for future rides.
You are supposed to have an International Drivers License, as if you are pulled over they will ask for it. However most of the bike rental shops will not ask you for it.

For the SIM cards i heard that you must verify your phone at customs and get something called IMEI?
Is this something new?
