Bali is just an island, and Da Nang is a coastal city, so the weekend activities as you said Bali has more I agree, however on the weekend you do not necessarily only go to Da Nang but you can completely ride a motorbike to the surrounding cities such as Quang Binh, Son Doong cave, national park, many other places you can go, I think Vietnam is a place worth visiting to explore

I read that it’s like over 60% of foreigners going to Indonesia fly straight to Bali, that explains why the number of tourists in Bali is high because it alone absorbs more than half of the country’s total number of tourists. Meanwhile, most of foreigners going to Vietnam first fly into either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh. And from there the tourists spread out to other places. Danang is just one of the choices.

Love Da Nang, but I wasn’t really into Canggu-way too touristy and full of pretenders and wannabe influencers. Uluwatu is my favourite part of Bali-chill, laid-back, and friendlier than Canggu, with less traffic and so many cool spots and things to do. But hey, different people vibe with different things. Ulu is now what Canggu was a couple of years ago. It was more a surfer crowd there, social life was difficult if you have more than just surf.

Balinese here, what I've seen with the more experienced nomads is that they've manage to live in the more local suburbs instead of places like Canggu, Ubud, Uluwatu which is way too expensive long term unless you have the budget of course. Daily commute to those areas is pain but well worth the money saved.
I will say that with Bali you get to pick which lifestyle you want, from high end luxury to couchsurfing and you still get the sense of being not far off the western trends.
With Da Nang it is cheaper, its not as broad in lifestyle choices, you certainly feel more like a true nomad adventuring in SEA and living life off the grid if that make sense.

Besides that, Bali has complete transportation and accommodation, quite affordable prices, delicious food. You don't need to move, because lakes, seas, mountains, waterfalls and rivers can be reached in a short distance.Resorts, villas, hotels, restaurants, cafes, shopping centers are also complete and mushrooming everywhere. The natural atmosphere and air are still pristine, pollution-free and well-maintained, very good for your physical and mental health.Of course Bali has a lot of advantages compared to other tourist attractions in the world. Great video thanks for posting, even for a non digital nomad like myself. Once I was in mune and there was monsoonal rain. The next day I went to the beach and it was full of logs and other junk. The waves were big but messy. The next day I went back and there was less debri and the waves were big and clean. It was amazing surfing and I had an amazing time 😎
It's a shame in one way that the surf is smaller in danang but it would give it a quieter vibe. It no doubt helps development to be a bit slower. Good for everyone... No?

Just an aside to what was stated in the vid, you can get a 5 year work stay visa for Da Nang. Sure the visa costs but it’s a great option. As for the night life, that’s subjective, both are hearing damaging, if you don’t mind that in later life but Da Nang definitely has excellent night life, and of course way cheaper.
