2. I've Ableton and an audio interface which also has a midi in and out. Is there any advantage to connection the SL MKIII using midi in and out to the audio interface's in and out ?

What happens if you're running Ableton and Reason at the same time with "InControl"? Will the SL swap between them depending on which DAW has focus? Is there any way to play tracks from both at the same time? Thank you

Hey taetro. Im kinda new and i wanted to start making edm and house music and lofi music like this . Im tired of making trap and i feel more at home with pop. I was wondering what type of midi i should get to use for these types of recordings since im always on the go and how do i make beats using the same process you just did. Thanks man
The MIDI controller doesn’t matter...you can make any genre with pretty much any controller. Keys and pads is what you need!
hey there. always appreciate the quality and depth of your channel. could you suggest reasons why one would purchase the 61 mkIII over the 61 Launchkey? I have been looking for decent comparisons online and feel most of them are from just affiliate marketing links with generic copy and past manufacturer and say things like "the mkIII is better cause it has more buttons" lol. id happily purchase from an affiliate link if I saw a little breadth of knowledge and humanity in the description. thank you for your time.
It comes down to hardware control. If you have lots of synths that you would like to control and sequence, the SLMKIII is the clear winner. If you just use Ableton Live and are an in the box producer, the launchkey is all you need

Really want more visual feedback from the keybed's LED lights when working in Ableton Live and InControl mode, eg notes from the piano roll triggers visual feedback.
The LEDs only work when working in Sequencer Mode, which is a MAJOR disappointment to me. Beware everyone out there working mainly in Ableton Live and not with external hardware and wanting to use SL's sequencer. The integration is not that great in Live, I'm afraid. Actually, it is quite poor.
How long did it take you to get this good? Also is the SongMaker kit a good starting point?

@@ClicStudio I checked and in my currency( indian rupees) 49 keys version of both of these cost similar but maybe novation is more expensive by like $15-20 I guess

It's automatic, you have to hold shift + record to disable quantize.

I want to get a keyboard but i have a push 2 and this seems to overlap alot with with the Push 2 and I dont have hardware synths....I like the Keylab for the bundled software and build quality.
