Yes, it's that time of year again already! Time to look back on all the things that didn't exactly go according to plan. Thanks to all for a great season - the best season of this channel ever! (despite all the bloopers!)

it never once occurred to me that hornets would be such a big problem in Canada. When I visited it was remarkably hornet free (admittedly that was 4 hours in Vancouver airport so probably not typical of your average hornet infested Canadian road). Also looking back on the times I've ridden on the back of a motorcycle I can only say I am now so grateful that I never sneezed while wearing a helmet.

The hornets always seem to show up all at once in August. They buzz around angrily for a few weeks and then they disappear all at once in September when it starts to get cold. They were particularly bad this year, maybe the worst I've ever seen them, but I somehow avoided getting stung. Best time to visit Canada is June or July - great weather, beautiful scenery, no hornets! 😃
