    Thanks for the video bro. Tomorrow is my first day delivering on my own. Did training the past 3 days. I'm kind of nervous to be honest. I'm an overthinker and I like to know all aspects of a job before I start it so I'm like taking notes and drawing diagrams and thinking about how I can be as efficient as possible. Lol. I think I should just go with the flow and pick up my routine as I go. I'm sure I will do well, I just don't wanna fail. I enjoy physical jobs and I'm very aware of my surroundings and have a good attention to detail so I'm sure I wil do well.

Also depends on your dsp some rush you some don’t ! Your first month is going to be hell if you can pass the month of hell than you be a pro in no time once you know your routes you be Ight only bad thing with Amazon is they give to manny stops you doing at least minimum 150 stops some people do 200+

      It has its ups and downs. The area you deliver in plays a big part on whether you will like the job or not. If you get mostly residential areas and not many apartments, you will be fine. the apartments always scare new employees.

    I will say that from personal experience that it’s sad that Amazon hasn’t figured out how to give smaller vehicles the smaller packages and larger vehicles the larger packages. Driving around in a box truck to drop off a padded envelope seems at one stop seems damn stupid if you ask me. The trucks and vans should get boxes and smaller packages should go to the independent flex drivers.

      When you start getting a consistent area/route, where you see the pretty much the same houses/streets/areas, you start remembering where each one is at and you stop relying so much on GPS! Also, once that knowledge comes, as you load your van in the AM and have seen your route for that day, you can load your over-flow accordingly, so you don't spend too much time looking for it once you're at that given stop!
      The most I've done in way of 'stops' is 178 w/308 packages and my Ford Transit Van was pretty loaded! Had 15 totes & 32 good size over-flow boxes! It's all about being organized and how well you know an area!

    • @JAYFLOPROBEATS
      @JAYFLOPROBEATS 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm 3 weeks in. I prefer driver aid number because unlike when I use to work for FEDEX you never know which route you're gonna be on within the specific area your DSP has assigned to them. Now as far as addresses there is something I do as far as keeping a log of certain addresses that I have to do specific things for like for example. I have the basic address (e.g. "Arlington Ave , or Windbreaker") then beside that I write myself a note stating, "need to get keys from leasing office to enter the apt complexes, COMPLETE BEFORE 5PM) Or another example would be if a certain home address or business wants me to leave the package with a neighbor everytime I'm delivering I have that address in my notepad. I know, I know eventually you will end up with a lot of addresses in your notepad but repetitive delivering everyday will have you eventually remembering a lot of places. Not specifically by name or address so to speak but when you pull up to them it will trigger your brain to remember things from your notes.

      My tips for you
      *Take a cooler
      *Eat before you leave the crib
      *Take enough waters if your dsp doesn't provide any
      *Shake up some pre workout in a water bottle and a protein shake in another ( you don't have to but I do this) drink my pre-workout bottle throughout the day and start drinking my protein shake after lunch
      * Eat while you're on the go ( especially if you feel like you're not performing too good)
      *Jog to each stop, if you can (don't do this in the beginning if you're not used to being active)
      *Find a way to use the portable charger they give you while delivering because you will need to sooner or later
      *Just stay positive man, jam to some tunes, don't let the weather get to you and don't keep up with what you have left just keep eating at the totes. I like this job, a lot of people don't have what it takes to stay in this because it gets exhausting. But our bodies are meant to adapt and get stronger so just keep pushing brother👍
