That wedding vibe is amazing. Seems so laid-back, no crazy wedding planner and chaotic schedules or scripted "perfect" moments, just love & family and enjoying each other's company 🥰
Thank you for your positive comments. Yes, Spencer and Naomi just wanted to be married and didn't want to spend much money on it or really care about the reception. Just as long as there were nachos. :) And all their closest family and friends came. Those are the things they wanted. They were very happy with how everything turned out. Not stressful at all, just a good time. I'm so glad my first to get married was a laid-back boy. :) It was a great experience for many more weddings to come.
Yeah, my kids like to set speed records on road trips and then try to break them. :) They're really fun to travel with. Our stop on the way home was longer. We tried to help a lady who had locked her keys in the car. And just didn't have the energy to rush like we did on the way there.
Thank you for sharing your lovely family with us all, such a beautiful wedding and family gathering. Congratulations Spencer and Naomi, many blessings to you both. ❤️
Love the teenagers singing. Does my soul good. Great song. And they sang it very well Beautiful wedding and it was all about family and our savior included
Thank you. Thank you so much for supporting their decision to be simple, yet beautiful. They'd rather use their money on all their college and housing expenses or fly back and visit us. Thank you for saying it was beautiful.
Congratulations on gaining another daughter 👏 ❤️ happy marriage you two always put God 1st and above all else and continue dating one another even if it's a walk. Good job Mom you captured it all very well. Enjoyed seeing it. Happy New Year Family 2025 here we come
Such a wonderful family celebration! I hate y’all had so much traffic to contend with but grateful for your safe travels. Thanks for sharing your family with us! ♥️
No, it's crazy I'm this old! I still feel like I'm in the potty-training and pacis and naps stages. I was good at that. :) But now I'm entering into a new stage whether I'm ready or not. I'm starting to feel excited about it though. Just wish I were more financially stable and had a more updated /larger/ nicer house to welcome married kids and spouses home for holidays. And then be ready and able to spoil grandchildren a bit. :)
Beautiful wedding! Thanks for sharing. I admire how much you do. Id of probably fine the woodpecker trail to Florida and it wikis have taken forever also. I can’t stand interstates it scares me. I have a woodpecker trail I use when leaving smokies to go to se coastal ga or Florida (very rare if ever anhmore) from ga. It avoids atlanta and all interstates . Takes long time but that’s okay. Go thru all the little quiet towns in ga. Where you are though, it’s hard to avoid cities when leaving and heading south. Y’all are amazing how much you do! I wish them much happiness!Im glad the weather held out. Bad weather coming Sunday for the south. Not much relief for January- I watch Mitch west weather here and he’s very good at predicting as best he can
Does their dad ever see the children? Was any of his side of the family at the wedding? You walk with Christ and that brings me joy. God bless you all and safe travels 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 📿 😇 🙏🏻 ✨️ ✝️
I believe she said that they were staying with the children’s father‘s sibling if I’m not mistaken. Also that some of the cousins, etc., and guests were from the groom’s father side. From previous videos it sounds like Marcy’s in-laws are quite supportive. How could they not be? Marcy is so awesome ❤
Yes, lots of Nathan's family was at the wedding. Nathan's dad was the one who married them. So his parents were there and 4 younger siblings and their families. Three other siblings live in Utah and didn't come. Also several of Nathan's aunts and uncles came; so Spencer's great-aunts. Lots of great supportive family!
Yes, you're right. We stayed with Nathan's sister, Katie and her husband and 4 kids. He has 2 other siblings in Florida who came to the wedding. And 1 sibling with his large family flew out from Utah for Christmas so they were able to come to the wedding as well. Plus lots of great aunts and uncles and cousins. That's why he chose to marry in Florida instead of NC. A lot of extended family there. That is the sweetest comment to say! That they are supportive because I'm awesome. Thank you so much. That made my day. Yes, they are very supportive. They are proud of my children making good choices to go to college, not drink or smoke, keep the law of chastity, be good citizens. They also feel bad their son is not being a doctor and supporting us as he should. So they are happy to help me and my children.
Beautiful, I didn't realize Fort. Lauderdale had a temple. I thought Orlando was the only one. That's cool they go to BYU. I teach there. What are they studying.
Yes, Fort Lauderdale is fairly new. They would have chosen Orlando as that's where Naomi is from and Nathan's parents are temple president there. But it's closed for renovations unfortunately. Spencer is studying psychology and Naomi is a nursing student.
When we are sealed we are married for time (this life) and eternity. Divorce is usually just cancelling the marriage for time and not for eternity. Since Nathan has taken his name off the records of our church and is no longer a church member, our sealing is voided too. You can't be sealed to someone who is not a church member and not willing to keep the commandments. I hope that's not confusing. Thank you for asking. Let me know if you have more questions.
Yes, they are going to BYU. Spencer served a mission in California teaching people about Jesus Christ and helping with flooding and such. Then worked at Edward Jones over the summer and met Naomi. Then stayed there working part time but did BYU classes online full time while dating Naomi. Proposed in October. Now that they are married, they'll go to college in person. Naomi is a nurse and found a good job out there.
Yes. Anyone over 18 who keeps the standards of the law of chastity, no drinking or smoking, etc is allowed to go in. Much like there were standards for Solomon's temple. So my 4 oldest went in with me, as well as some of Spencer's cousins over 18, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. It was very special and I'm so happy for them. Thanks for asking!
Yep! Pretty easy-going couple. The pizza was just a luncheon after the ceremony as we all had 4 hours to drive to Orlando. Spencer's grandparents wanted to provide it to those who traveled so far to the wedding. But since nobody lived in Fort Lauderdale (including them) and everyone was traveling, pizza was a lot easier and cheaper than catering something or taking us all to a restaurant. Besides, Spencer loves pizza. :) It worked out perfectly. Gave the kids a chance to run around before the long drive. Gave grown-ups a chance to catch up. Weather was great.
You can get divorced for time only and stay sealed for eternity. Or you can get the sealing cancelled too. Especially if a spouse is no longer keeping marital covenants and has gone away from church teachings. For instance, committing adultery, physical abuse, drinking, no longer believes in Christ, etc and will not get help or change.
Beautiful gathering! Congratulations on their wedding! I just love your sweet family!
Congratulations to Spencer and Naomi! May the Lord bless them with many wonderful years, thank for sharing with us sweet lady.

Wow! A ten minute stop with a large family! I am impressed😮

Wondering the same thing. He couldn't be at the wedding?
No, Nathan is in a state mental hospital in Utah and could not come.
Yes, lots of Nathan's family was at the wedding. Nathan's dad was the one who married them. So his parents were there and 4 younger siblings and their families. I didnt know you were lds.❤ i miss utah alot.

Congratulations!
May I ask how divorce is then handled as you are divorced if I’m not mistaken. Just curious.
Wondering that too. Not sure how that works?
When we are sealed we are married for time (this life) and eternity. Divorce is usually just cancelling the marriage for time and not for eternity. They look so young. Hope that they have a beautiful life together. Did you say they will live in Utah?
Yeah! I was surprised to hear that! Sounds like she said both newlyweds will be heading to BYU after taking a gap year (or just time off)
Yes, they are going to BYU. Congratulations.
Here in Australia all young children have to have a car seat or a special child’s seat
Could you go in to see the ceremony?
Park for reception lol and pizza lol

So they are joined for eternity? What if one of them passes away and then the one still living marries again ?
The surviving spouse will be married traditionally for time only.
❤️🌠🕊️🔔
Wow the cousins did well singing together , since they don’t see each other even yearly .
Thank you! They all love the Messiah, so it was fun hearing them spontaneously sing it together.
What religion are you guys ?
Sealed for eternity but what happens if they divorce? Is it null & void? Too cultish

Especially if a spouse is no longer keeping marital covenants and has gone away from church teachings. How do you support your famiy?
Are you on government benefits ?
Congratulations! Beautiful wedding!
Congratulations!
