Our oldest married someone who wants nothing to do with us, it’s been over 5 1/2 years now since we’ve heard from him. Never in a million years could we have thought this could happen to us. Anyway, Pray for your children’s future spouse, because they can come in and destroy. I often Pray that The Lord will convict his heart. I have my memories though. I know that only our Lord can change hearts. But I wanted to thank you for this, we used to always go to Branson, the shows, the cinnamon rolls, all of it, sweet times, sweet memories. I recently had a dream that our family purchased your farmhouse. Kind of strange but I would not be against the idea at all. My husband even agreed to it (only in the dream haha)!
This must be such a great idea for those who love Christmas. I might try to enjoy, because i can defijitely dig into the baking portions. But unfortunately, Christmas is a very confusing and tricky holiday for me. I write this comment just because i wonder if anyone else is out there similar to me. Our family believes in Jesus, and we love nativity scenes and things like that. But a lot of decor and traditions dont have a direct relation to the birth of Jesus, and this has personally convicted me to opt out. So we dont use Christmas trees, and we are trying to teach the kids another view on gift giving, but the relatives constantly make this tricky. I do find christmas decor pretty, but its just not for me. If others do participate, i never view them with judgment or with contempt. I bless them and enjoy their hard work if im visiting a friend. But its hard to explain my views to people, because if i tell people its been over commercialized like valentines day, it might offend them 😢 Thanks for whoever read all this. I feel heard just sharing. ❤

Im currently having the tree dilemma. Not with my kids- I never had trouble with them- I just told them it was a no-no touch and they never went near it- but with CATS. I have 4 and short of hog-tying my cats lol, I am not sure how to work around them!
Beautiful ideas and decorations! However, I don't like the ribbons, bells greenery, covering up most of the beautiful picture. You have move all that to see the nice picture. But, that's me. Sometimes less is more.😊

Every year I become more and more grateful for my family’s choice to not get involved in these holidays. I am grateful for the money and time that I save and for not being coerced into following the satanic practices. If you research all of the symbols of Christmas you would be horrified to learn they stem from pagan rituals.
I have heard of this theory before but never investigated this myself. Despite all of this information, I would think that there would be absolutely zero information that would support the neglect of celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Nothing Satanic about loving your family enough to go to all that trouble. Before Jesus came there were pagans who were spiritual and loving. Nothing evil there. Spirituality has evolved. Wishing you and yours the best.
It really doesn’t matter to me that Christmas greenery, etc. has ancient roots. It would actually be very odd for anyone to live next to the forest and not bring in some pine to decorate with. People have loved their families and decorated their homes with natural materials for millennia. We are simply participating in very old traditions whether we’re conscious of it or not. There’s nothing scary about that.
It's wonderful that you're refocusing on your faith this time of year. I do hope you remember that God did create trees and all the various natural things we bring inside to cheer up our home in the wintertime. I don't think He will mind if you find joy in his creation. Blessed be!
