    try to take it easy on your pharmacy techs for never having your medication, im a pharmacy tech and while youre stressing your need for the scripts for your handful of patients on your rotation, we are filling them for all over the hospital, Your script is also going to take longer if your md has horrible handwriting and we have to page for clarification... So just be nice to them and they may get your orders out faster just a tip!

    It really is as crazy as it sounds! And yes, that's on a good day, without the unforeseen distractions that send your shift into complete craziness!! 😅

    Thanks Justine, I'm a nurse in the UK thinking of moving to Canada to work there, your routine sounds so similar to the one in the UK :) How many patients do you look after on a shift?

    Thank you for this video! I'm a second semester nursing student. Tomorrow I have my first clinical (med. surg.) at a hospital and I am nervous. This will be a 10 hour shift so it will be very interesting. First semester we were sent to nursing homes and it was a great experience. Please continue doing videos about your experiences, they are really helpful 😇💙.

    Hey! I just had my first clinical rotation on the med surge floor and this was exactly what it was like! Believe me I understand how it doesn’t sound like a lot but yet I never sat down the entire time I was there! Lol

    A question for you/other nurses: I'm thinking about becoming a nurse, but I'm really scared of making a mistake. I feel like in this job it's easily done and not easily repaired...

      ItsJohanna That’s exactly why we go through the schooling and clinicials to make sure we’re prepared before working with patients and making errors

    I’ve found my passion in OR nursing... I’m currently taking a month-long clinical course in it. It is soooo different from floor nursing, and I’m almost dreading going back to my med-surg clinical in the spring because of it 😂

      This is key, finding your passion. Nursing is so diverse there is an area if you are patient enough to find it. Congrats!

    Could you write out your daily routine in the description box below because you were sort of rushing through it so I couldn’t catch the important parts of your day and I had to use captions to hear what you were saying? Thanks! :)

    Hi Justine, have you any tips for a newly qualified nurse. I was a mature student and qualified last October. I have a job which I am just awaiting a start date on a general surgical ward. I am feeling soooo nervous. Not sure if I will be able to cope with the routine, there is gonna be so much to learn. I just hope I will get the support I need?. 🤯🥴

    Thry allow you to prep meds prior to giving tbem to patient.Here in Florida you can't do that.If the state surveyors come in that's a huge tag.Please check with the DON or administrator before doing this. I Love your videos .

      Cinta Vida on a journey That’s odd that it isn’t allowed.. you’re just doing it earlier than you normally would if you’ve already done your vitals🤷🏼‍♀️

      I've been a nurse 10 years and in Florida you can't do that period.Maybe whatever state you are in allows it. What if something happens and you have to have someone take over your cart? Here in Florida as soon as you pull meds you have to sign them off and give them to the patient. How are you signing them off if you're pulling them prior to administering them?I guess every state is different and also I have always worked ltc.

    thank you love all your videos

    • @Jujubml
      @Jujubml  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Charting is your documentation on your patient, so you will write down your assessments, what the patient did that day, anything abnormal you noticed, any concerns - it's basically your day in writing :)
