Your comment seriously made my day!!! As much work as nursing school is, it's SO worth it in the end, it's the most beautiful and rewarding profession! Stay focused and enjoy all the experiences you will have!!
I spent forever trying to find this video lol this used to be my comfort. I watched your videos ALL the time in high school hoping to be a nurse like you! Now I'm getting my BSN'25. Thank you!
Omg Justine, you seem like the sweetest person ever! I feel like you'd be such a great friend to have. Have an amazing day! I'm gonna go watch the rest of your videos LOL
I love this video!! I really want to be a nurse. I still have three and a half years left of high school left but I can't wait until I can go to nursing school :)
Awesome video! I love yoru scrubs! I have a video request! Can you talk more about your work and what kind of program you are enrolled? How far along are you on the program and how do you manage your time between work and school
Hey, I am a nursing student from England. What is the difference between pre nursing and nursing in Canada and the US, and how long do they normally last?
Hi, I just found your channel and this is the first video of yours that I watched and I love it!! You are so sweet and I can't wait to watch more! I am only a sophomore in high school but I want to be a nurse:)) What school do you attend, or do you have a video about all that?? Thank you!
I'm so glad I found your channel! In starting a nursing program on Jan 30 and I'll be watching your videos to help me stay focused and motivated. Thank you!
I want to be a nurse but I am a really shy person. I know you do a lot of communication with patients. Do you have any tips to get pass it and feel more confident? Thank you. Love your video
I was the same, I used to be so shy, and it's not a bad thing!! Through nursing i really got through my shyness and now I can talk with patients so easily! It's definitely very difficult at first, especially your first patient, i almost puked i was so nervous the night before clinical! But you get through your first and your second and before you know it you're walking into all the rooms with no difficulty at all! I'm trying to think of things that helped me through my shyness and honestly I think just realizing that the patient might be just as shy as you, they're being exposed and they're probably just as shy and uncomfortable as you are :) And know that it will definitely get better!! :)
Love this video. Next month I am starting a nursing assistant program and then when my son is older I am going to go to nursing school. Your video inspire me! Haha :)
I'm planning on going to community college then transfer to a university. I like the idea of nursing but I'm not 100% sure because of the night shifts and I heard nursing school is REALLY hard. I'm scared because English is not my first language and that makes it really hard for me to understand everything teachers say. I'm graduating HS this next May. Ughh!! So confused
Bazoka 98 definitely try to get a day internship in the hospital to see if it's for you or not! And regarding english as your second language, i think about half of the people in my program had a different first language and they all made it! You can do it!!!
oh girl i feel you, constant struggle! i usually eat leftovers that i reheat at work, like pasta or a simple chili, etc. otherwise i'll make a sandwich or some type of tortilla rap! i also LOVE @britneyandbaby spinach tomato feta pasta its so yummy and quick!!! i make it at least once every 2 weeks!!!
thanks!! i'm still a newbie haha! I work as a GPL (grad pending license) so i can basically do all the same things as a nurse, just without my official license! :)
When you say "work" are you talking about an RN job? I thought you were still a nursing student?? (if I'm reading the title correctly...) And I'm surprised they let you wear perfume at your work! So jealous. Lol
I still don't know what I want to do and I considered being a nurse because I love helping people but I don't know if I can do it or if I'm smart enough
crybaby tutorials you're not the only one! although brains are a big part of it, if you want it enough and you're willing to work hard there's nothing that can stop you!💪🏻
I have a little while to think about my career but I know nursing is for me. I have a few questions for you if you wouldn't mind answering them, I would appreciate it! :) How many classes do you take? Is it a good idea to go from high school straight to a nursing college? During lectures or classes, are you allowed to take notes anyway you want? Paper or typed? How difficult is nursing school? I've heard different opinions but I would like to hear from you. Thank you so much!!
Of course!! Currently i'm taking 5 classes, but in college it went up to seven at one point (because I had to take french, english, etc) and I don't see anything wrong with going straight into college, that's what I did and i think it went very well :) It does depend on you though, do you feel ready for the commitment (you sound pretty certain to me haha)?! During lectures you are absolutely allowed to take notes however you want, the teachers will usually post the powerpoint online, which makes note taking much easier! Personally i didn't it that bad, the material was divided really well, but it is a lot of studying and a lot of information to process in a short amount of time! But if you have the drive to learn and the passion for the profession, I don't see why you wouldn't be successful! Hope this helped a bit :)
not much haha! but it's so important to MAKE time! i try to plan my time so i do 50% study 50% time for myself, otherwise i would go crazy! so it's super important to stay on track, although not gonna lie i've been slacking lately lol
Haha. Thank you so much again for your reply! Does having relationships with the people you go to school with help you a lot? (I'm sorry i'm asking so many questions, but It's great hearing from you.)
no worries, ask away haha!! It's sooo important to make friends in your program because they're going to be your support system throughout your degree and they're going to be the ones who understand what you're going through :) Plu sit's good to make study groups! :)
Hi! New sub, just found your channel & I am a pre-nursing student. I wanted to know if you're living at home while being in nursing school.. if so, do you have plans to stay at home & do you find it more cost efficient for the time being? Keep up the videos & thanks!
I do live at home :) I plan on either moving out next fall (with one year to go) or staying here until I finish studies, depends on how much I can work next summer! For now it's way easier because I get to be lazy and focus on studying :)
***** That's nice to hear! I am in the same boat as you are (in terms of studying and living at home) and I wanted to know if others are doing the same thing. I find it more logical to live at home and save money especially if one is fortunate enough, you know? Is it common for other nursing students in Canada to do that too? Thanks!
yes!! most people my age live at home, for the convenience :) it's so hard to work and be in school, especially if you have to stress about making enough money to pay for rent and everything!
its fun to see american nurses - it is sooo different to be a nurse in Denmark - for example, we do not have to buy our own scrubs and we cannot take them home - which seem logical and kinda gross anyway. but yeah nice to see your life ;)
Christine Dalgaard Persson it's not the same everywhere. I'm at a hospital where the scrubs are supplied, and then we return them at the end of the day to have them sanitized.
The shoes are amazing but do you wear these in the hospital? If so you should be a bit more cautious and not wear them in the house as you are bringing so many pathogens into your living space. In Ontario we have to get dressed at the hospital because of infection control!
I do, they're my work shoes, but I usually put them on when i'm heading out the door and take them off as soon as I get home :) I wear my scrubs to and back from work but I walk, so I'm the only one in contact my dirty scrubs lol! But I agree that it's 100% better to get dressed at work, i'm just so lazy lol I think i'm gonna make that one of my new years resolutions haha
Thats good! I know its hard especially having to be there so early. The last thing you want to do is get changed in a cold hospital haha thats definitely an attainable goal!
Is it me or does her voice make life seem like a piece of cake?!
You seem like such a sweet and a genuine person! I am currently a pre- nursing student, and your videos get me super motivated! Thank you!
Your comment seriously made my day!!! As much work as nursing school is, it's SO worth it in the end, it's the most beautiful and rewarding profession! Stay focused and enjoy all the experiences you will have!!

Anyone else think she looks like Jules from Euphoria??
We just finished our first semester of nursing school and we made a video about it. We would love for you to check it out:)
