    Thank you for this!! I'm starting my 3rd semester of nursing school and I can't tell you how many times I see nurses going in and out of rooms and scrambling to get tasks done. This video is so helpful and I will definitely utilize your tips!

    We always just call to the front desk if we’re in an isolation room and forget something. 😂 Usually a coworker will hook us up with whatever we need and I don’t have to de-gown.

    Can you do a video of your quick 5 minute head to toe you do with vitals. I'm trying to learn how to cluster care better!

    I was a little confused by the times you mentioned during charting. What are your shifts like, when do you start and when do you end?

    • @Jujubml
      @Jujubml  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah haha sorry about that, I was confused while editing too.. we do days, evenings nights, all 8 hours! so when I talk about charting at 11pm it's for an evening shift! and when I talk about 8am it's for day shift :)

    • @Megan11..
      @Megan11.. 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ohhhh! Okay. I rarely hear about 8hr shifts for bedside, haha! That makes so much more sense now! Thank you :)!

    You have to do your own vitals and sugars on every patient? Do you guys have CNA's/techs? It must be different at my hospital, but having 5-6 patients all of that is not feasible alone.

    • @Jujubml
      @Jujubml  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lauren Smith yep! we have no CNA’s on my floor so you do everything for everyone no matter if you have 4 or 8 patients!!

    • @laurensmith5548
      @laurensmith5548 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jujubml that's not safe at all...you do assessments, medications, blood sugars around the clock, and vitals every few hours with 4-8 patients all by yourself..

    • @Jujubml
      @Jujubml  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lauren Smith So assessments, meds, blood sugars, VS q shift, charting, antiobiotics + electrolyte replacement, blood transfusions and so on, all by ourselves😅 normal patient ratio on days is 5-6 patients! hence the exhaustion lol

      If it's so crazy for you to believe that nurses do everything for each patient, you must not work in health care then lol..

      Amanda Brooke days it’s 5-6 patients, evenings 7-8 and nights 9-11 :)

      Justine G.Feather I just graduated in April as an RN and time management has been such a struggle. Thanks for the tips!

      That's the advantage in your country 😣😣😣
      I mean, i know the professional is so hard, and you never know how many patient you are gonna have, for example in El Salvador
      You have until 40 patients just for a one nurse 😢😢
      You don't have a little time by take a rest and the government just pay 8 dollars for work 10 hours at day and 12 hours at night, and it's more delicate when you have the high rish patients 😐😐😐

    • @Jujubml
      @Jujubml  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Irvin Montoya whattt omg that’s crazy!!!! how is that humane? here i am complaning about my pay and my patient ratio, i’m only now realizing how lucky we are😲

    • @iivimontoya8034
      @iivimontoya8034 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justine G.Feather you're right but pitifully the government don't pay well here, even if you don't have the materials you have to improvise, without catheters, gloves, syringes etc. Sometimes patients haven't the necessary to survive 😢

    This is meant as constructive criticism. I'm not trolling and I would respectfully say this comment in person, face to face, if allowed to do so...but...
    What seems like could be useful tips, this video did not keep my focus and attention. I am willing to acknowledge that MY inability to focus is not your responsibility in any way 😉 BUT the reason I watch TH-cam, instead of listening to a podcast or reading a blog, is because of the visual interest/entertainment. To make a long comment a tad shorter, I believe your information would have been a lot more impactful had you offered visual examples too. I understand that HIPPA may limit your options in a lot of healthcare settings but...idk maybe use some clip art or create a set at home. You are articulate, beautiful and have a great presents on camera. I would totally recommend tapping into more performance and videography creativity. If you are friends with any artists, pick their brain or ask for constructive advise/guidance. Good luck 😁
