*The 4080 SUPER is $999. There's no reason to believe the 5080 will cost much more than $999. Nvidia realized that the 4080 at $1,199 was a terrible choice for price.*
No way Nvidia gives us that performance at that price .
they are because AMD crush nvidia with tht 8900 xtx . ultra fast and cheap .
They used to give even more performance each generation and for an even lower price. The RTX 3070 was equal to the previous gen's best for only $500. The RTX 4070 Super is in the ballpark of an RTX 3090's performance for $600. So now you think no way would they do what they've always done before with the 70 class card but now on the 80 class instead? Seems to me like we're going to be getting less for more money than we did in previous generations. I'm not so excited about that. I already predicted that this would happen.
The rx 8900 xtx is most likely cancelled amd wants to focus rdna 4 to the lower end@@abdelkarimkeraressi1418
$1399 MSRP. You'll see.
@@abdelkarimkeraressi1418Apparently AMD is cancelling the 8900xtx. They are apparently going to be focusing on more midrange cards and the highest end one is going to be around the performance of a 7900gre I believe
The power cord connector IS THE ONLY spec that matters.
Yes! I do hope they drop that connector. It is not fit for the job. At least not the "high power" it is supposed to be rated for.
Yeah up to 600 W load on these unreliable connectors is just ridiculous. They´ve banned connector blocks for ages because of high risk of melting and burnouts and now we get these skimpy connectors on highend hardware...
No it's not. If it's 300w like he said it should be fine. None of the current 4080s are having problems and there is speculation they will make the 5090 have dual connectors which will split the load
All high end power supplies include a dual 8-pin cable to a 12vhpwr connector... why can't just keep two 8-pin on the GPU side up to 600w... at the end is coming that way from PSUs... or it is too silly what I am saying?
5080 is going to have 12pin. You might have to get a ATX3.0 PSU if you jump to 5080.
I think the 5080 is going to be $1399, and mostly getting shipped to China.
I would speculate they will try to stay between 1199-1299 but you could be right. The 5080 could be great for gaming but on a world standard it’s gonna have to be the same as or less powerful than the 4090D since they plan on shipping to China. The US government has already gotten involved in that due to the AI improvements of the 4000 series. 😕 I just want to have good things without them being used for involvement in major things like that.
4080 Didn't sell at $1200. Why would this?
@@farmeunit because they never learned their lesson and keep trying to repeat the same sell tactics constantly. Some people buy in thinking it’s believable unfortunately, as the rest of us see what they’re doing.
@@praisethesun6573 True. Didn't think of it like that. Wouldn't surprise me either. I have wanted an xx80 since pandemic but paying those prices. Picked up a, 7900XT for $700, so sticking with it unless these are sub$1000
Imagine paying over a thousand for some that isn’t a 90 series card. I’m not touching that over priced scam
A RTX 5080 with 16GB is ridiculous
great deal
Imagine... lmfao
Just font buy it and maybe they won't do that again. Thats the issue with pc gamers. They complain buy still buy trash products so companies take advantage
I agree, it should be 20Gb
@@GForceIntel I have been waiting since 2020 for an upgrade with more Vram from Nvidia
I'm sorry, but this video has no new data. You could've just skipped a video.
Like I did, it took 30 seconds and guess what? No price
I just came for the comments.
RTX 5080 should have 20GB.
RTX 5070 should have 16GB.
Having only 12GB in 2024 is an absolute joke.
I'd rather have gddr7 12gb than gddr6 16gb tbh.
@@clem9808 Absolutely disagree. I'll have the best of both. Thanks!
Nvidia might give 5080 19.5GB VRAM, you never know.
Heck the 5080 should have at least 24 gigs. And they should upgrade the vram capacity even more on the 5090.
@@clem9808 dram speed doesn't matter when you have tiny amount of Vram
5080 MSRP will never be below 1000$ 😅
Nooo😮
amd basically gave up at this point. they cant keep up with nvidia
It would make sense for NVidia to release 5080 1st due to China being 25% of their dGPU market. 5090 will be too strong for China (ban on exports) so NVidia would release 50 series with nothing for China for months missing on hype sales from new release. So it makes 100% sense for them to release 5080 that would be at most as fast as 4090d in compute and then 5090.
I like how he is so optimistic about the price as if any RTX card ever had good price.
I just want to know if they’re going to keep the same fire hazard plug?
My biggest concern are the scalpers
Yeah. The better the price Nvidia offers, the more scalping it will attract. Iit's like there is no winning here.
5080 will be 1200 and will be mainly ship to China, the 5090 will be 1700 and just a paper launch... until 4090 and 4080 stocks are gone
I've heard it's gonna cost 1200 to 1500 usd for the 5080... I really hope that's not the case.
You know they’ll do it
@@thetruestar6348 I know, I really don't want them to though LMAO!
@@Tempest427 me neither but it is nvidia tho so we can expect the big price tag
Will cost $999 but scalped to $1400 due to high demand
@@danceoffAsh that would be okay, but I doubt it's gonna cost only 999 if I'm being honest. It is Nvidia after all
The 16GB thing for 5080 is probably done to reduce the price on launch. They will make a 20 or 24GB variation later on, 99% sure of it. In any case, 16GB is _generally_ good enough. Games actually needing 16GB+ are still few in numbers compared to the majority of games you'll run. Unless you game at 8K, you're not going to need 16GB on your $2,000 RTX 5080 to play Fall Guys.
How many sprites per scanline can it draw without flicker? Mode 7?
5080 will be almost on part with a 4090 YET only 16bgs... fantastic an over powerd Esport 1440p card.
5070 should be 4090 😂 get scamd again hehe
When can we expect 5000 series laptops? Do they usually come out after release or with?
Man, I can't wait until they release the 5 series so the prices go down on the 4 series. Hoping for $400 - $500 on a 4090
Good luck. 3090’s aren’t even that low.
@@robertsludock Lol. Let me be in my dreams. I'll also look into a 3090
Graphically Challenged.
None of these leaks are true, wait for official launch from NVIDIA regarding the specification rather than just reading social media educated guesses.
I am not here to say whether they are or aren't accurate leaks, but when you have somebody who gives accurate information, time and time again, it builds up a reputation for being correct. It becomes a firm point of reference and understanding, regardless of where the source comes from. It doesn't matter that it came from social media, or sounds like a guess, if someone has been right multiple times in the past, it increases credibility, and should be at the very least, considered and documented for future reference.
It's no different than calling up the same plumber to fix your toilet, taking the "guess" out of the equation because you know that particular man or business has done good work every time you've needed him. Does it mean he will never screw up? No, he's human... but he's gained credibility for his accuracy and diligence.
The question I have, can you connect three 4k Displays with 240Hz (DSC) over Display Port 1.4 ;-)
Zero chance the RTX 5080 will sell for less than the RTX4090.
maybe 100 less than the 4090-D in China.
Why is that? 3090 release 1499$ 4080 release 1199$
I would bet all that I am worth that you're wrong if we could somehow make this offiical. So the bet is the 5080 won't sell for less than $1599.99 MRSP correct?
@@michaelangst6078 I think that is pretty spot on.
@@michaelangst6078 what do you think? :) 5080, 5090 & 5090 ti.
My problem with these cards is their power draw. The 1080 ti uses just 220 watts, while being just twice as slow in raster. That means that the performance per watt for these cards is similar to a 7 year old card... and a 1000-watt computer is really going to heat my room up.
The Ada Lovelace cards while pricey, are actually very efficient. The increase in workload with increased graphics complexity is not a linear equation....
@user-tc4tz8ww1z if you compare the 1080 ti to 4070 super, which has the same tdp, the latter is only about 30% faster in rasterization in 4k. 7 years of progress for 30% better performance to watt efficiency...
Might be coming, might not be coming ... there is always something new coming, so no point waiting unless it literally releases next month.
I just went with the 4080s and am super happy.
I pretty much gave up on GPUs for the time being. One day i'm sure availability and pricing will go down to acceptable levels but I don't think it will be this year.
In fact they will release it early. My speculation is we're getting 5080ti next year
Gives more time for those TI VARIANTS TO settle on specs
Any info on AV1 performance or encoder changes H264-65
5080 sounds like an efficiency beast.
They are gonna increase the price who are we kidding they have no competition.
I will just go console for $500 PS5pro. If prices too high for Pc
@@genasgenas honestly the PS5 is worth every penny. I have it paired with 77inch OLED TV and it is a blast. The best value money can buy nowadays.
I also have the XBOX and a PC with 4080s but PS5 is still best. Just don't buy games full price, wait for discount ... really expensive.
@@gorgono1 is there any reason why you prefer PS5 over Pc gaming?
For me benefit of Pc is that I can choose to play high fps if I want to by reducing graphics and on consoles they still dont get it that we dont want 30fps slideshow. Also Pc games you can download for free from torrents. But at the same time Pc is not press and play. Lots of headache comes with it.
At the moment playing with Xbox X and connected my non gaming laptop to 65inch 120hz Tv and checking if I like all that windows stuff. Will wait for the prices of Gpu's and PS5pro performance result and decide which route I will go.
The simps keep buying at every insane price
i just hope the hp connector is fixed. thats holding me for getting a 4090 i dont want to spend 1.5k+ for gpu with design issues
4:11 never will it be that price
I mean we heard the same thing about ray tracing improvements with the 40 series and it didn't really happen. It will likely still be in line with the 40 series.
These types of rumors have been coming every time since the 20 series with Adored even thinking we'd get coprocessors. I'll believe it when I see it but it would be cool if it did.
No way 5080 for that money. MLID speculating 5080 $1200-$1500 with no competition from AMD
At that point its not about the competition but the willingness of the people to buy it. Competition is usefull when people are buying the product already, to further decrease the price.
@@PyromancerRift Youre right. But system integrators and retail consumers will have no options if they want the best their money can get. And the uninformed usually go with the ebb and flow. They just see and pick the first shiny thing they see…even if it is overpriced.
Thoes OEM Windows keys do not work.
I know, I bought two of them, neither worked.
I don't know why gigabyte don't advertise these recessed power connectors more. It's a huge plus for these cards.
I'm wondering what would be the most strategic plan for the most capital... releasing cards cards 1 1/2 months apart starting worst to best. that way you get the most crazy people and reviewers that buy, test, review and contrast all the 'new stuff''?
Or do you drop more cards together, so to not stimulate the used market somehow?
I think the prices are going up, too much performance here, people are never going to need new graphics cards eer again , we've officially reached and secured the 4k resolution ceiling and upscaling keeps improving too
Was t the 4090 a 600w maximum? 🤨
Upper limit of the 5080 will be around $1400.
F that. That's a mortgage payment
The 5090 is supposed to maybe have a 512bit bus
I seriously doubt that Nvidia will change the 12VHPR connector, but that is an absolute failure especially for the 4090 series. It would a shocker if they did revert back to the old connectors.

It is unlikely that even the upcoming cpu 15900K or the AMD Ryzen 9 3D series, will be able to fully keep up with the demands of the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card.

This is why I have an ATX motherboard. I have room for a last gen Nvidia card for cuda workloads (astrophotography blur and noise xterminator ai ) my main GPU is the 16gb A770. I hope there will be an AI accelerator card with wide adoption that's not a GPU.
So RTX 5090 Should be a 4k 240hz card brother?
Not on demanding games no way
If the 5080 gets anywhere near tieing the 4090, it will certainly be closer to $1400, while the 5070 ti delivers 4080 performance at around $650-700, maybe cheaper depending on how much better ray tracing is on the 8800 XT...
They better price the cards right
Why are gpus evolving this fast but staying expensive? I can't afford anything more on a gpu that $300 and thats already putting me in financial trouble
Nvidia is allergic to low prices on GPUs
gameing using 512 bit monster gpu 600++w? the 12VHPR connector x 2 or a complete new type connector is a must , 600++w is going to heat up you room!! like he¤ll. let wait for benchmark. to see if it is worth it. lol
Yeah if the 899 to 999 is correct it doesnt matter cause scalpers are going to be all over the 5080 GPU and we will be paying about the same amount as what the rtx 4090 was priced at
I was excited about amd rdna 4 but when i heard it wont be any high end gpu i am probably gonna wait for the Rtx 5070 ti and see how it performs against an Rtx 4080
I hope its 899$. still a lot, but borderline afordable.
Moores law is dead latest info is that it won't be charitably priced so he's not expecting any drop from $1200 launch price. I'd like to think this guy is correct but he gives zero reason for why he thinks what he does, whereas MLID is quoting a source.
You're dreaming.
899$ will be the price of 5070 ti, rtx 5080 definitely will cost around 1300$ for sure
I am dreaming but its good to have some hope right? Either way im NOT buying it if its not less then 1000$ ill just get the 5070ti if it ends up that way.
@@wwk279 I was quite hopeful they would have learned from poor 4080 sales until they dropped it to 999 and launched it at that price (and still didn't see tremendous sales, but did hook me).
Most commentators seem to think that's not happening however. Although do remember the pleasant surprise of the 3080 launch price (even though the pandemic made it so you couldn't actually buy it at that price).
If it's over $1000 I'll be sticking to the 4080 until and unless they do something like they did with the 4080super.
i'm just wonder how 28gb of ram is even possible, i could see 24 maybe with 1.5gb chips or 20gb's or 30 but not sure how the math says 28gb can happen
5090ti must be native 4K rt ultra king
Bring on the 5090 ti, as long as its under $2500 I'll take it
with most games sucking lately (other than helldivers 2) im more interested in the 50 series AI performance for stable diffusion or LLM. Vram, Vram Vram. would love to see a 64 gb card with a lower end GPU. say a 5070 64gb would be a dream card.
I will patiently wait for the 5080 Super or 5080 Ti
Obviously with 24gb vram, so people upgrade from their 5080 16gb
I kept away from the RTX4090 and bought the Gigabyte 16GB OC RTX4080 a while back, due to the melting/fire probability of the 4090 with the BS power connector.
If the new high wattage 5080 and 5090 GPUs are still using this power plug, then I will not be purchasing either,
I'd rather 3 to 4 older style power plugs to power these 50 series GPUs. Cheers.
$1k for 5080 sounds too generous for today's nvidia...$1.2k minimum i think.
Still too generous
1000 is already crazy, and I think it good price. 4080 super was 1000.
lol just saying i cant wait for u post something and here u are 5 mins later ha
The 5080 has to be under $1,000. $899 and it would be ab instant buy if its 4090 levels in raster and at least 30% ahead in ray tracing. At $1,000 I'd start to expect more vram. Anything above $1000 is an instant pass, now...as for the 5090, if they actually come out with the same price at $1,600 and it really is 50-60% faster in raster and even more in ray tracing I'd actually probably go that route. But they'll probably jump the price up even more. $1,700 would my guess for the minimum price, and the 4090 was already extremely expensive. I don't know if I'd pay 1700 for a gpu, unless it is the 512 bit bus version for that price but I doubt it lol
NVIDIA will never release a consumer GPU with a 512gb bus.
5080 has to be cheaper this time cuz the 4080 at 1200 earned nvidia a perpetual black eye, made them almost universally hated by everyone, and because the economics just wont allow them to do it again. people are struggling to afford groceries, a 1200$ GPU is totally out of the question. AI will eventually cool and when it does, if Nvidia tries to pull a stunt like they did last gen and has a bunch of gaming gpus that are overpriced and a bunch of gamers who hate their freakin guts, its gonna hurt them. A lot.
Honestly I want it to come out early so I can get a 4080 super for under 1000$😅
The 4090 atm is like $1800-2000 so the 5090 is going to be a solid $2000-2800 and if it's lower than the 4090 then rip to the fools who get these cards at launch, always wait and let them lower the price
Fxxx, I guess I'll wait for 8080 then...
5090 = content creator's beast. Houdini with Solaris and Karma, Redshift, Unreal Engine 5.5. It's going to be very very cool. I bought the Radeon VII last time because the 3090's were all dying and requiring replacements, sometimes 5 in a row. This time I want the best...I want power.
*The 4080 SUPER is $999. There's no reason to believe the 5080 will cost much more than $999. Nvidia realized that the 4080 at $1,199 was a terrible choice for price.*

@@NirmkI just saw multiple 4080 supers for under $1300 what are you talking about?
Let's Talk about it .
Waiting for 5080
If you are paying computer techs huge money, spending $3k on a faster GPU makes financial sense.
No way they sell the 5080 for less than the 4080 Super. $1199 for the 5080 while 4080 and 4090 are still on shelves.
I can't wait to get a really powerful card at a moderately, possibly acceptable price, completely bottlenecked and ruined by vram capacity. Without a shadow of a doubt I would take GDDR6 instead of GDDR7 if it meant we could have far higher capacities at the same price, but, of course, they have to give a reason to the press for why it will be so expensive.
I could be completely wrong and I hope I am but I think your $900-$1000 price point for a 5080 is a pipe dream. Why on earth would they start the original 4080 at roughly $1200 and have a newer model come out two to $300 cheaper when they really didn’t have that hard of a time selling 4080s at $1200 to begin with that doesn’t make any sense for Nvidia to do that Now, I hope you’re right, but I wouldn’t hold my breath
hope 5090 support 240hz
Damn. I want to build a monster pc in 2025, with the new AMD cpu and i thought i was gonna get the 5090, but if there is a 5090ti to be released, then i want to wait for that.

I built a 7800x3d with a good psu and ram sticks and slotted in my old 1080, big frame boost over old haswell cpu and I can wait out whatever price wars, 7800x3d will probably hold value well if I want to swap in the new amd card
Nah these high end cards are overrated especially for gaming the max you need is 70class MAYBE 80 but def not 90
If the 50 series is more overpriced then the 40 series I'm switching to amd or intel truth is any way I cut it I'm getting screwed might as well save money
Hopium bro. It’s going to be 1199 or 1299. And the 5090 will be $1999 for founders edition. Partner cards at 2199-2299. 5070 ti at 799 5070 for 599 5060 ti for 459 and 5060 for 399. The 5090 will probably be 40-60% faster than the 4090.

I spared no expense on my rig after constantly updating every 3-5 years. I went all in on a top of the line Falcon Northwest build and spent over 6k. I don't regret it at all. These performance increases in the GPU's are notable, but what the fuck will necessitate it in the near future? The computer I built won't have to be upgraded for like 10-15 years. The 4090 Founders Edition I have nets me over 200+ fps on anything I play, including games like Cyberpunk at max graphics with raytracing. So yeah, these new graphics cards are going to be absolute beasts, but it will take years for them to even be necessary.
I can build the same rig for half of that.
@@GForceIntel well I bought peripherals. Keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, it certainly added to the price. And yeah I could have built it myself for cheaper, but I don't know how to apply liquid cooling, and I also enjoy the fact that if anything goes wrong I basically have five years of it being fixed and replaced, as well as customer support for these trying times for the i9's.
@braveinsanity6843 so you spent 3k on mouse, keyboard, monitor, and speakers. I'm not judging you at all, but you definitely overpaid for that build.
@@GForceIntel I'm confused how you arrived at your numbers. The GPU was about 1.5k itself. Add the processor, chassis, RAM, liquid cooling, fans, power supply, MOBO, etc. I didn't disclose the full specs of my PC, so for you to state that you could have built the same PC for half price is not accurate. And like I said, even if I did overpay, I have full access to a team of people and warranties to replace any expensive component gone wrong. I certainly could have done it cheaper on my own, but I wanted everything done by absolute professionals.
@braveinsanity6843 There is nothing professional about building a pc. 1500 gpu, it better have been the 4090. Otherwise, you got ripped off. A motherboard 300 a cpu 400 a powerfully 200 or less. Ram 130 ssd 180 a case 120 fans 40. A watercooler which is not needed and probably the biggest waste of money unless you're into rainbows 150 nowhere near close to 3000. Stop responding because, at this point, you're only embarrassing yourself. You clearly overpaid going the easy route, and like I said, there's nothing wrong with that. You clearly have the money to buy it.
I'd love if they gave us the 5090ti. I want the best of the best, and I don't want to wait. Longer I have to wait to upgrade, the long I have to wait to give my best friend my current GPU so they can afford a PC better than a console.
buy a 4090 today and start enjoying 👽
5080 going first than 5090 is bad news it means paper launch because people usually wait for the BF gpu to compare then compare to other options
5080 gonna be atleast 1000 if not 1200$
Can’t wait to have my GPU connectors melt and burn down my house 😅
I think the 5090 will have 32GB of VRAM, because the past two flagship cards have 24.
I hope not. that will only increase the price beyond $2000 and no game is going to use more than 24gb vram even at 8k
@@michaelangst6078 Yes but VRAM is what is becoming a requirement to run games, but 24GB should last about 10 years before more is needed.
@@michaelangst6078you forgot the 90 or titan is not foe games yes u can game one it but it is not foe games !
Fun fact: NVIDIA's high VRAM cards are almost identical to consumer cards, but sold at ~5-10x higher price.
NVIDIA will definitely not produce high VRAM consumer cards, they would hurt their own datacenter market.
@@michaelangst60788K has 4x the performance cost of 4K you run out of vram on literally, any game stop speaking out your cheeks
I'm calling it.. this gen we will see a Titan return. Dual die Titan, single die 5090 and 5080. In a year we'll see a 5090Ti dual die, cut down Titan with less memory.
Rtx 5080 is going to be next 3080. MSRP reasonable, actual price ridiculous.
i doubt they want to release 5090ti when 5080ti is leak data driver set from deleted data from mishap nvidia driver beta gsp firmware data
112 sm is prob full 203 , so 5080ti I doubt it will be that
Nvidia is definitely not going to release the 5080 at $999. Mark my words everybody.
If it is as powerful as the 4090 then they're going to sell it for a few hundred dollars less than the 4090.
Especially if AMD has no real competition.
It's possible that we might all get sent to the Twilight zone and pay $800 for a 5080.
But last I checked that was a fictional series.
