With how the game is currently balanced with emphasis on actual skill (dodge, counter and parry system), adding a shield meta, or at the very least add an easy shield generation kit, would mean new enemies would also upscale their damage output. As an easy reference, cops get a Kevlar vest, criminals get armor piercing rounds. Besides, most holograms can already one-shot you from full health, imagine having an enemy that can send your entire family tree to the afterlife with one hit without a shield. Hahaha
Current shielders in game are already doing good. I can say, i already proved it to myself in my no dodge videos. i actualy don't think shielders are required since game is literally asking you to dodge or parry as it gives you benefits like concerto, some high counter damage, vibration/stagger vs bosses. If you will say that shielders will help casual players, yes it obviously will. But people often underestimate "casual" players and think of them as idiots who cannot learn to dodge or parry. Casual players only mean people who enjoy playing games even if not sweating it out. But it does not mean they cannot learn when to press a button to dodge.
@@andressilva2055 what he means is that Camu have VERY high interruption resistance when his ultimate is activated, which is fine for WUWA combat system atm
s4?? Shield whole team..% base on yuanwu def....other player just " give me this kind of character" without knowing already existing.. and not ruining the rotation and resonance of the characters..
yes he does it as S4 one of the comments here i already explained that. Lol dont assume i dont know. But the question is do we need a zhongli or are we ok with Yuanwu shield and such. Relax
I don't think wuthering waves needs any form of shielders, however I have no problem with making easy-mode characters. In fact, thats why I'm in favor of things like powercreep over time, since that means casual players/players who struggle with mechanics can get better units and complete content they couldn't before. The only thing is, Kuro should not balance around having a shielder if they do add them in. For specific content that Kuro deems meant to be a challenge, they can just limit the characters that can be used or weaken shield effects. 1 good way to balance shields is have the shield deteriorate/decay over time. Press skill, shield 50% hp, every second the shield drains 5% even without being hit.
pre tbh you never know. some people told me that there could be a new sonata for shielders with crit and atk boosts so yeah maybe brant will be that support. let's cross pour fingers
Shields as they are rn dont belong in the game, imo they should have had way more limitations, like lasting 5s or not getting shared across the party (notice how they only two shielders have terrible concerto efficiency?). It's like they were going to add a playstyle to them, so you have an incentive to use them. but left it half way through.
@@veedizzy if they do that, it should come at a cost like the shield unit truly being a pure shield unit and not being good at dealing damage/healing on top of that
I'm all for damage reduction shields but full shields- I hope they Never add that. People that lack the skill to play without a shield can just go for a team like this: Taoi (pink hair woman, i forgot her actual name) + a good healer + main dps honestly I feel like genshin's discission to add 100% dmg reduction shields really ruined a lot of the future content and newly added enemies. I don't think long-lasting shields should ever go beyond 50% dmg reduction
The turtle should have been how shields work bar none: reduce set or scaling amount of damage, pops avter getting hit, gives a buff. just reducing damage is not very good.
I would love if devs added alternative ways of playing the game, since right now, I can't play it at all. This "perfect timing" thing is just beyond me. I found me alternative way to play Genshin, which is aimed shots, but there is no such possibility in Wuwa.
Yes sure but those shielder should have very limited interruption resistance. For example: A shielder could resist interruption from incoming hits 1 second triggered upon getting hit for 2 hits. This could increase to 1,5 seconds for 3 hits with some extra copies.
You want shield.. use bellbourne.. use jianxin..they have shield.. if you want precision parrying use violet heron...wuwa dun need heavy shielder.. it will just ruin the game..
As long as the shield comes with its own drawbacks, i don't mind. Characters like zhongli who give thick shield + dmg buffs make the game stale imo. The whole attraction of wuwa compared to other similar titles is its combat style, so allowing players to skip that part is not really a good idea i think.
It really depends on three things. Internet strength, knowledge of enemy attack patterns and skills. For those who don't have both, the skill ceiling becomes extremely high. For those who have both, the game becomes extremely easy. Mtashed proved this.
By shield meta are you saying does Wuwa need a Zhongli? It already has characters that provide shields and interruption resistance, but so few people play them because more damage is generally the way to go. I don't see problem with more, I love Jianxin with Xiangli yao and I know Jinshi players enjoy Yuanwu especially at high cons. But generally I think people will choose a sub dps or a quick swap unless the shield is providing crit/atak/dmg etc
interesting coz i heard that a new echo/sonata coming in 2.0 for shield with crit/atk buffs. It's likely designed for SK. But yes, it could proc on intro incentivizing concerto.
Shielder/Tanker in wuwa will likely to have counter oriented combat dynamics and debuffing enemies or immobilize them. Worry not, from PGR we have the mottos: supporter_“I support my allies by killing enemies faster”, tankers_“I defend my allies by killing enemies faster”😂
shielder will give chance to low skill players like me, u see I don't even play hologram coz of? skill issue. with shielder it will open up for uga bunga gameplay but I don't think wuwa will give super strong shielder that ignores hologram bosses.
Once he's got a full stack of 100 Readiness, you can hold the skill button to cast Rumbling Spark, dealing Electro Damage and triggering the Lightning Infused state. This grants Yuanwu higher interruption resistance and allows his attacks to deplete the Vibration Strength of enemies a lot faster.
I’m cool with shielders, but no high res to interruption, as well their shielding should be equal to healing. Like Shorekeeper is an incredible healer, but she doesn’t heal to the point you’re ignoring everything. Dodging is still important with her.
I dont mind the shielders and dont mind having more and a dedicated one. there's already talks of a new shield sonata set/echo. Yeah why not as long as it's not overly done. right.
With how the game is currently balanced with emphasis on actual skill (dodge, counter and parry system), adding a shield meta, or at the very least add an easy shield generation kit, would mean new enemies would also upscale their damage output. Good point, it's not like they're going to just add shields without buffing the enemies. I'm hoping they'll be careful about it.
Use belbourne jianxin they have shield you can also use heron if you are sux at parrying..
We have shield meta in a dream (illusive realm)
yes that was mentioned. As i said in the video touching on illusive realm.

I think only a few will play shielders unless that shield has a atk, crit, crit dmg buff on it.
i am actually mixed atm about shields
Like Camu from PGR? Yes
Like Zhongli from GI? No
how does Camu's shield work?
They just want they "best game" genshin ideology go to wuwa then. Say something like " oh wuwa copy genshin they put a character like zhongli"

Nah, should be kamui bastion, noctis block or even bridget block
We have shield, and still stagger from boss attack. I think we need auto parry support or buff parry vibration support like yuanwu.
Yuanwu's vibration strength reduction doesn't actually protect the resonator, it only reduces the defense of enemies tho. Thanks.
@@veedizzy Pretty sure one of the nodes of his sequence chain gives you a shield.

I can literally 1-char bosses using Jianxin at sub-20 fps because of her shield so no. I don't think we need a meta tank.

I'm with you on that, they kind of went all in on the dodge/counter play style and then left the shield meta to fend for itself.
there's no insta skill(1 tap on the skill) Shielder character yet but Jianxin,Taoqi & Yuanwu exist 👌
yuanwu only in S4 i believe. and yes no insta skill shield.
i have JIANXIN on my main team, she can heal and shield that is good enough for me, so if they add another one... i dont have a problem with that...
i think if they make a resonator like zhongli...altho im not sure how it will work out, i'd still get it for the peace of mind haha.
