    that's the knot I was looking for! I just connected a string that broke in the pegbox (nut slot too tight) but next time I'll try some fishing line

    Good idea, but wouldn’t use a leaded core leader. Wearing though means the lead gets on your fingers and potentially ingested.

      Don't worry. I bought this stuff more than 40 years ago, and now it has been replaced with tin core. The polyester coating is reliable though, you never actually touch the lead. Thanks for your comment, Clive
