Hoi Kim. Is it true that there are also two more ways to say totziens that are " tot snel" en "tot gauw" ? But the person which i heard this thing from says that these two expressions mean something more like "see you soon" or see you later.

and she very beautifully replied "Aangenaam kennis!", which was immediately understandable.
Afrikaans is a very beautiful language also.

I’m Australian, but my pop was Dutch. It’s such a shame because he never got around to teaching the family how to speak Dutch. He however did teach us the word Dag and every time we’d leave my grandparents house we’d always say that to him instead of saying goodbye. He sadly passed away 2 years ago, so Dag is a really special and meaningful world for my family now.
Sorry to hear your pop passed away, but it’s beautiful you still keep that alive!

I really wish they didn’t though because for my whole life I’ve had to put up with people pronouncing it as Dick-stra, which is so embarrassing. 😂

After watching this les 1, I noticed that you have introduced "Goeie-" for almost all greetings such as "Goeiedag, Goeiemorgen, Goeiemiddag, Goeienacht", but not for "-avond", so can we also say "Goeieavond"? Is it correct?

Me and my brother will doing a bicycle trip from France to Netherlands, and I'm ready to learn Dutch !
I look forward to be learning dutch from you. I just lost my Oma this morning, and feel bad for never learning the language. My dad was born in Canada, and so was I, but both of his parents are from the Netherlands. My Oma was from Rotterdam, and my Opa was from Amsterdam. Anyways, I always wanted to learn the language. I know some words are hard though. My Oma showed me a plaque she had that said bird watching in Dutch. Your accent reminds me of her too, btw. I always found her accent the cutest thing.
