    A garden hose can be used to protect the wire of the pump. From. Electrical shock and both ends sealed off with silicone Culk

    • @lightclawshadowmarsch8167
      @lightclawshadowmarsch8167 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Run the cord all the way down the hose. From one end to the other. Then seal off the connection at both ends with fish tank culk. And done then tie balloons to it so the cord floats at the surface. Like a bobber. This will prevent someone from swimming into the wire and from getting shocked. As well as prevents the cord from getting. Cut by anything such as fish hooks. Sharp rocks. Sticks and turtles that might take a bite at it.

    • @lightclawshadowmarsch8167
      @lightclawshadowmarsch8167 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      U may have to cut the plug end off an have to reconnect it. Be sure to snip it. At least. 9 inches from the end. So can wire nut the connections back. Then electric tape them together an coat the wire nuts an tape in same Culk. To keep water from it. An it will help hold the wire nuts on so can't fall off. If u can't put it back on use. 14-2 or 12- 2 Guage wire on your solar panel. And install an outlet box. U can direct wire it to the. Solar system. And make sure it's well grounded.

    • @lightclawshadowmarsch8167
      @lightclawshadowmarsch8167 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For your solar panel put a fence around it so it can get knocked over. By pets an any persons near the water. A 100 volt panel should hold enough charge for both pump an night lights. Pending the pump u use.

    • @lightclawshadowmarsch8167
      @lightclawshadowmarsch8167 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What u don't need for power off the panel to run it on can be stored In a back up battery. And connected to a photo cell so it switches on the battery when it's dark. Or during cloudy days. And other outlets to run a Radio on. Or cell phones panel should be rated to handle 100 volts. Or. 25 volts for pump. To 35 Amp breaker. 4 in total. With the 5th connected to you rechargeable batteries. And wired like a hand. One finger to the outlet box for pump. 1 for the night lights. 1 to charge your cellphone to or lap top to. 3. Be for. A photo cell to connect them all two. The kind used for coach lights. And 4th be an automatic fish feeder. 5th your back up battery

    • @lightclawshadowmarsch8167
      @lightclawshadowmarsch8167 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If don't run a fish feeder off it. The extra outlet to plug into can be a spare to run a sprinkler system on. That can draw surplus water from the pond with. And used the extra water on grass or garden areas.

    Is it not better to extend the pump closer to the bottom of the pond to encourage better circulation of the entire pond? Of course, you don't want it extremely close as to not suck up too much sediment. I would think getting it closer to the bottom would be a better idea by extending the pump lower. The pump you are using has a 39 ft. head, so extending it down 2-5 ft (depending on the depth of your pond), shouldn't effect the height of the water fountain that much. I think the end result of circulating more of the pond water would be better.

    • @ShinerSam
      @ShinerSam  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could probably extend it a bit longer and it shouldn’t effect the height of the fountain that much. If I have to do another one I would try to make it longer. Thanks for your input.
