- Subnautica: Below Zero glitchless speedrun on hardcore mode in 49:13.
This is a much more polished run compared to my last one.
Thanks to Zookster for the improved bridge skip and a bunch of other stuff. While testing strategies I kept coming to the conclusion that he had already figured out the fastest ones.

How do you keep the crafting menu open? For me it was not visible while crafting…

I was edge of the seat when you were swimming back through the crystal caves lol! Good job!
I had to do something similar in my playthrough. Went down in a mantis, but then when I was finished with the forge the mantis had disappeared, either fell through the floor or the leviathan got it. I didn't have any bladder fish in me either. Was kind of harrowing to swim from bladder fish to bladder fish not knowing if there would be enough on the way out. It worked though. It was a crazy experience.

It's called a Prawn in English, in German they changed that to crab (Krebs), did they change it to Mantis in French?

this players cognitive mapmaking skills are beyond. No compass and never backtracks to correct a direction a single time....
Don’t wanna play it down, but i know his runs from the first game too, decided to give it a try myself, and trying it often enough and spending so much time in a game makes you know them quite well

glitchless speedrunning the architecht tissue part looks like a nightmare, those freaking ice worms are terrifying
Just use the Prawn suit and jumping around :)

The ice worms are actually easy. Its the shadow leviathan thats the hard part
@@swordam1063 Ice worms are annoying because they throw you off your Snowfox and damage it, Shadow Leviathans are annoying to everything else
In some parts i thought: Wait you're running out of oxygen!
And then the *oxygen pLanT boi* arrived
This is the first game that I've 100%, come back and replayed twice more, and still I can't get enough.
The only things left to do is build a mega-base in survival where each species has it's own containment, and of course a speed run.
Never did a speed run before but I watch a lot of them.

Just finished this myself, pretty awesome. Nothing like the size of its predecessor, still some cool areas to explore and the land thing was different. Playing these games baked is serious!
I wouldn't recommend baking your game... Computers are expensive these days.

That hydraulic bridge skip was v nifty. Gawd knows I hated traipsing around with that awful hover fox thing.
Little late, but you can just use the prawnsuit instead. I ditched the Snowfox after the first area.

@@Peleski It's really not. If you jump with it at an angle it goes really fast, to the point I was outspeeding the worms.
@@Peleski the prawn suit in BZ is deranged fast in the air if you hold W and A or W and D without holding spacebar.

I just beat this game myself. Great run but you can literally beat this game without doing any Sam/Kharaa related anything? No enzyme 42 or Aurora lore thrown in at all? Man gameplay is good but they dropped the ball on this sequel story wise, Subnautica was a masterpiece.
Yea I totally agree. First time I beat this one I didn’t even find the frozen leviathan and was confused when I saw it on a TH-camrs page. Feel like they should do something and make it mandatory like disabling the gun tower to leave.

I know I'm late but you can do them in any order
Helping Marguerite is 100% optional even in regards to the good ending! All you really need for that is a Spy Pengling and knowledge of where to go. All helping Marguerite gets you is access to her seabase and greenhouse. (Which is great for a normal run, obviously...)

There's no shadow leviathan in below zero. There's onely the void leviathan, the frozen leviathan and the ice worm. (There might be another one but it’s not called shadow leviathan)

I don't play games, but I watch these playthroughs to live vicariously through other gamers. That said, I find this game to be more directed and straightforward (and as a consequence, less interesting) than its predecessor.

@Shadow_Skeith I just started a new playthrough and that spiral plant isn't there. I followed his path step by step, and I'm sitting here staring at the spot where it should be, and it's not there.
ETA: I just found another 3 of them on a different ledge not far from that location, though. So holy shit. That's awesome.

As an absolute veteran of the first game it took me like 10 hours to finish this one. Didn’t like it really. Great run though, if you see this how did you like it?

The thing i hate in below zero is to get the spiral clipping plants, i search for hour and didnt found one
Search up a guide, near one of the crashed vessels in the purple vent area near delta island, along with some architect stuff is 3 plants and each give 2 clippings, which is perfect because youn only need 6 clippings in the whole game
When you explore, you will find the vents leviathan; your PDA suggests that you can enter inside them and plants grow in symbiote with them.
There are spiral plants there.
So, if you are curious and listen to the hints, the game actually gives you that rare plant easily.

i watched to get a idea on the main story line, and i am hoping there is going to be another game that either returns to 4546B or follows robin on her adventures with Al-an (would like to see both actually)
Actually this run is not really focused on the story, but I believe everyone would love to have that third game you mentioned!

This was hardcore mode which means dying is game over.

Yes I’m sure it would a lot, for example he could throw his stuff in the drop pod before going to the artic spires so then he can just die to get back saving ALOT of time.

Is it faster to have both air bladders on hotkey rather than just one with bladderfish on the other? It may reduce inventory opening times during dives.
I think it's just that they need the inventory space.

It’s an exploit. Not necessarily a glitch, sorta like jumping over a rock instead of going around it. It’s not critical to the story and it isn’t doing anything the code didn’t want him to do, no clipping or anything, just hopping about.

bind your scroll wheel to that action. I use it just for normal runs. Apparently you need to be running at at least 30fps, but I'm not 100%sure about that.
