What if, ur the batter and the ball comes, u swing, but miss it. Does that count as a strike 1 or no?

I have been playing for 8 years. 1 tee ball, 4 rec ball, 3 select/ travel, in the middle of my 4th year of Select. Love this game so much! ❤️🥎
