FYI you can do a trailer light test with that truck. Once you initiate the test the truck will go Thru each light test so you can be behind the trailer to make sure each sequence works
No disrespect to BTBR but you can go over to TK channel. They just released (today) a video of this same truck towing a fifth wheel. Or wait a little bit and I’m sure JD will have a video up soon doing exactly that. Love these videos and content, keep up the good work.
Well put. Alot of people go into buying uninformed, and even the sales guy being uninformed or dishonest to get a sale doesn't help. There are car sales people who never towed a vehicle in their life, or even drives a truck telling potential customers. People just look at the advertised max tow and max payload and assumed that's what theyre gonna get with the truck they bought.
I was pulling out of a campground towing my 36’ 5th wheel with my 3500 mega cab Ram, the wife was asking me a question about something unrelated to what we were doing, I lost track of what I was doing and turned a little too sharp rounding a curve and heard my side skirt metal clanging on the round picket fence on the turn, I pulled away from the fence hopped out and expected to see a bunch of damage, fortunately there was no damage to either the trailer or the fence, just a little scraping to the sheet metal that buffed right out at home. I am usually very aware of what I’m doing, especially when driving, my wife is very unaware and constantly saying look at that, check this out, we should do this thing here, or go over that way 😂, that time she won my attention, fortunately it was a lesson for both of us that didn’t cost us anything. The Cummins tows my GD 28bh effortlessly, I am unfortunately looking into replacing it with either a Silverado 3500, or F350 soon, possibly a f450!!
The first time I towed two small trailers, which I am licensed to do, it was a six foot utility trailer hauling a quad, with a 14 foot boat behind. I had put too much weight in the front of the boat, which lessened the tongue weight of the utility trailer, causing it to wiggle side to side. Moving everything to the back of the boat solved this.
It seems like the new trucks are getting taller and I am wondering how you can haul a gooseneck LQ horse trailer level and still have enough space 6" between the truck and trailer? My 2020 featherlight is right at 5 foot and the new truck beds are close to that. Besides getting a flatbed, what is everyone doing?
Careful... just do the best you can, but remember your not a ford.. so easy does it!! and if you brake your frame or the motor just falls out.. don't get mad and go buy a dodge..
You know, if I keep working hard, continue to be productive, show up to work everyday. My boss will be able to afford one of these.

My next Silverado will have the surround vision camera. That technology can spoil you. My wife's Equinox has it.
