    Hello,
I'm in a dilemma about whether it's worth upgrading from version V1 to V2.
Currently, I have the V1 version with the following configurations:
    - HPE Microserver Gen10 Plus
    - CPU: Xeon 2246G (6C - 12T)
    - GPU: NVIDIA Quadro P1000
    - 64GB RAM ECC (2x 32GB DDR4-2666)
    - Pool RaidZ2: 4x 4TB WD Red Plus CMR
    - Boot Mirror: 2x USB-SSD NVMe 2230 256GB WD Black
I'm considering getting the V2 version and using the Xeon E-2378 to have 8 cores and 16 threads. As someone who also has the V1 version, do you think it's worth upgrading to the V2 version with my current configurations?
Additionally, I found some complaints online from people saying that the V2 is very noisy. Is that true?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards,

It is worth getting v2 if you want to have 8 cores (16 threads).
Also you manage to get 64GB RAM on v1 as you mention which is good.
So far, as I am using v2, my server is quiet because Xeon E-2378 is on 65w which is very low wattage. As long you set to low consumption/power mode.
You can put WD Red 8TB in each slot for more capacity.
This also depends on your Server layout on how you set it up determines to total wattage and if you need NVIDIA Quadro P1000 as I use entry level NVIDIA Graphics Card (fan-less) because I only need it for HDMI.

@@AnChanTech well 64GB and 16 threads are supported by v1 too :-) so the only reason why you have to choose v2 is price - which is similar for both models

I have the hpe proliant microserver gen10 plus v2 that has the Pentium G6405. Is there anyway of using the iGPU on that processor rather than the Matrox onboard graphics that comes with the micro server?

iGPU (Integrated Graphics Processing Unit) is an on-board Graphics meaning you can share physical RAMs and CPU.
Are you referring to PCI-E Graphics Card?

@@AnChanTech I mean on the CPU itself. There is an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 610 that I would like to use rather than the Matrox onboard graphics.

Not what I know of. All I know that is is Matrox. You can look for the drivers you looking for from the Intel website try and look for the chipset.

If you bought the cheaper Pentium Gold v2 can you let me know if it came with ECC memory?

Yes. It could be either 8GB or 16GB of RAM

How annoying is it to Insert non hpe certified cards into the Servers? The hpe Servers I worked with often complained and ramped Up their fans to 100%.
