Nice video! Side note I just ordered my first lcg chassis mainly because of you! But also just to beat my brother even more with his almost stock basecamp. Got a gspeed F-S chassis and their bed for it! Also I really like the g8 compound Krawlers. They do pretty well on jagged rocks, I think the stocks would be decent on sharp rock where as you have smooth rock so there's not much for the lugs to grab onto.
Haha heyyy well I’m glad I could help persuade you :) that will be a sick rig! What axles and trans are you going to run? Yeah I guess I should have clarified, stock tires aren’t great for my terrain.
Yeah I'm gonna use some ar45 portals I'm gonna get a servo on axle mount so I don't have to mess with panhard stuff. I don't know about the transmission I'm trying to 3d print one right now. I haven't gotten it to work yet I might get a stealth x transmission if I have to.
Yeah I was thinking soa was the way to go on my car currently the panhard is really frustrating I just have it dremel something I'm just to lazy. With the 3d printed transmission I just made some gears and some plates and tossed it all together, I use Onshape and they have a gear thing in the program built in. And I just made sketches on the gears for some stuff, But overall it has been a challenge and just an overall learning experience.
Hey man I love your videos but I might slightly disagree on those stock tires. Which I’ll give you they aren’t the best but I took my set and unglued them from those plastic rim and put them on a set of treals with printed foams and brass beadlock rings for the front and wow…they ain’ to shabby of course they ain’t hanging with some aftermarket prolines but still…. Anyway love the content 👍
I don't know if my last like 5 tries for my comment to show up has worked it doesn't show up for me, But either way I'm thinking about just scrapping the idea of only the complete 3d printed transmission. I'm now trying to just make a motor plate for my scx10 3 transmission the big and bulky one that was in your gladiator. Do you have an Instagram account I could not find one of yours? I would like to send some pictures or videos of it.
Oh dang I really thought you had Instagram. Yes the transmission is huge hopefully my idea works out fine and I can maybe even use the dig unit. I might be able to remove the 2 speed section out of It I don't know for now though.@@HobbyDrop
I think the stock tires are better for trail climbing than rock crawling
Yeah they would be great for trailing!

@@urbancrawler1459 SOA is the way to go. That will be the end goal for all my rigs for sure.
3D printing a transmission?? That sounds impressive haha.

Thanks dude! What kinda rocks do you run on? Cause that could be a big difference maker too!
Ruptures. Top notch
A lot of people love em. I wasn’t diggin the way they felt tho, I had them on my capra
Limiting straps in the front will help. Deez Bands
I haven’t tried those yet, might give em a go on my poizd build!
Did you ever get a link riser or any brass portal covers up front?
Nope I’ve got my link riser on the rear but nothing on the front.
What winch length are you using?
