- I Simulated an Island with fish sharks and Vampire crabs. You will also see red claw crabs all inside this tropical fish tank. I donated this tank to this cool kid who is a big fan. So there will not be any update videos on this ecosystem.

When the water gets darker, the roots and wood are giving fiber to the water and makes it healthier. I learned that from @AntsCanada. Just a little tip for next time
I know but it’s hard to film the fish when the water is dark. Also the tannins will sink over time providing good nutrients to the soil. I just like doing water changes

Love your videos. It might be worth mentioning that you can't just turn a rimed tank into a rimless tank. In this case with only 1/3 filled, it is not a problem. A rimless tank is usually thicker glass to absorb the force of water pressure

golden dojo loaches grow over 1 ft and will outgrow the tank, and corydoras like to be in groups so get him a friend

Eating sand is normal for many crabs. i own hermit crabs and vampire crabs they eat the microorganism in the sand and small pieces of food scraps

Mr hillbilly everytime i watch you its so inspirational unfortunately cause my step father moves for the job i cannot get a ecosystem but i got a huge tank for my standing day gecko i might turn it into a self sufficient and cylcing ecosystem because the tank is so big i will finally be able to breed geckos but anyways you always make some of the best ecosystem content on yt also that clip of the red clawed crabs on the pirate boat was funny 😂
I’m glad someone liked the pirate ship. In my head it was gonna be this cool pirates of the Caribbean entry for the crabs but then I realized I suck at green screens lol plus the crabs wouldn’t stay on the boat so I had to photoshop them in! It was so cheesy but it works
