Just replaced mine as it wasnt flashing and had a hole on the clear bit allowing water to get inside. New one fitted and it still doesnt flash. Mot soon too
Hi, do you know what type of screws these are which hold the indicator? Mine are rusty and I’ve lost one of them, I can’t find any information about this anywhere! Thanks
If the mirror looks the same then the procedure might be the same though some times they upgrade they way things are fitted to make it easier but not always the case, though should be similar. I did not disconnect the battery I don't think is needed.
Hi mate I don’t exactly remember the size, it was a t10 I think but it will be cheaper for you to but the set of torx bits in the form of screwdrivers very affordable this days.
@@DaringBeefcake hi mate it's possible to get your adress? I need to replace vaccum pump gasket on my BMW318i e46 n42 engine I have the parts how much did you charge for that?
Thanks for uploading video i have just bought same car and need to replace the same part, thanks again very well explained
Think we bought the same car 😂 did yours have an airbag light on too?
Just the video I needed, thanks!
Álmos Steiner you welcome:)
Thanks for video. I found to get better access to the second screw, just move the mirror
Great tip thank you very much 🙂
Turns out my wing mirror indicator didn't have the first screw - no wonder it suffered from water ingress...
Also, I saw another video which said to level the mirror before removing the cap, which is a good tip. My cap didn't want to budge at first.
Excellent video helps to fix my wing mirror lights
Great to hear!
Excellent - thanks for the help
Steve Barry you welcome

Is it genuine or different make, could be faulty. Check the voltage? And see if there is current.
@@DaringBeefcake all sorted. I took off the door card to find the signal wiring harness wasn't even plugged in. (Black and yellow) *pink plug*
Super 👍🏻
Thanks 🙏

It’s a torx self tapping screw. They must be widely available online.
Will it be the same method for all polos? Mine is a 2014, I’m considering changing it myself but not sure, do you need to disconnect the battery?

Hell mate - any chance you could say what size the Torx screws are? Gonna change mine but I need to buy a screwdriver. Thanks!

Hi there, where abouts did you buy this part? Do you have a link to the website?
Dudgeon100 hi there, I bought the part from vw.
Am i right in thinking there's no bulb that can be replaced? It's the entire led housing that needs replacing?
Yes there’s no bulb. Just leds
Fancy not testing before fitting new unit!!! Joker!
sure :)
