They would be worldwide, household names if they weren't Canadian. I truly believe that...and I am Canadian. If you are Canadian and launch your career out of Canada, you can only get 'so big. There are a few exception..but not many. Rush, maybe. But look at Triumph. They should have been as big, if not bigger than Rush..as they appealed to non-musicians and the mainstream more than Rush did. But they stuck to their roots and only got 'so' big....and will always be remembered as that good, 'Canadian band'. Instead of being, 'that good band'.
I can remember seeing them Thurs, Fri, Sat at the Coach, then Jeff would host an acoustic show early Sunday night and then head over to blues bar a couple blocks away to play there too. And that happened a lot a lot

Yes, it's from the Alhambra CD. I don't have any suggestions for WinXP. I believe Windows 95 or 98 will play the multimedia. I use a Mac. Best bet is to find a friend with a Mac, and have them copy the multimedia files off the Alhambra CD and give them to you.
@Ty Marshall Deer: Very cool. I have a doumbek of my own, but it came from Bizarre Guitar instead of JB. I met JB(and the rest of the band) briefly after their show in Fargo, ND in '97. All nice, but JB was especially gracious.
That aetheral instrument Jeff Talks about is very similar to a Persian instrument called the Santoor. The Santoor has a less metalic more xylaphone sound to it but essentiall played the same way with the two hand sticks tapping the strings.
I dont care how succesful or unsucessful they are/were. They are (in my opinion) the best band in canada, america.....the whole fucking planet. SAdly......ive only been to one of their concerts.
Love the Tea Party.
Saw them live during their Edges of Twilight release.
I was never the same again.
exactly ! like you i saw that Tour gig ! just pure magic , ecstazy , Nirvana on stage .
It was the most accomplished album they ever released .
Agreed.
yep, best gig I've ever been to was Tea Party @ Caulfield uni March 1996...... they tore the roof off. Walk With Me was HUGE
Coldacre me too - it was in 94 and 95 , both gigs in Belgium .
Thanks for posting this. They made such a great album with these instruments. I saw Jeff Martin play a few weeks ago, he's still an amazing performer!
Top 20 albums of the rock history no matter what the mainstream say.Such a great MUSICIANS they are.
Tea party kick's ass they are unique

I had this years ago, so I can't thank you enough for posting it!! This is a very good example of why I love this band so much!!
Enjoy it, Rosie! Glad you found it here ✌🏼
@@the_black_arts, I did, very much!! I am so glad I found it here, and I posted it on my Facebook page! Thank you again, SO much!!
I miss these guys so damn much. Three of the most talented musicians ever! I loooove that little demonstration JM does on the harp guitar!
thank you for posting this..it is really appreciated... and Thank you to the tea party for doing what they did !!!
Thanks for posting, great explinations and examples of their style and talents, as well as the intruments.
Absolutely phenomenal. One of my greatest wishes is if they'd ever do an "Edges of Twilight 2" CD.
Awesome stuff! I long for the old Tea Party days!
It will take some time to people to understand that The Tea Party was the most important band from the 90's. I hope they will reunite in the future.
God I love this album.
Jeff Martin boggles my mind. In a way, I'm happy, The Tea Party isn't more mainstream it makes me feel like I'm in a special club.
Have you ever loved a band's music so much that you want to keep it a secret? The Tea Party is it for me.
Thank you for this!!
i listen to tons of eastern tunes. these dudes have learned well!
TURN & TUNE ME ON 2 SOME STUFF, SIR

One Of A Kind Band... kisses xx
I bought the drum at 1:51 off of Jeff Burrows last year! :)
I'll get around to it soon... I couldn't fit it in this clip because it would have put it over the 10 minute limit.
Damn, that harp guitar kicks ass. Must be worth alot.
WAW!
Is there an instrument they can't play...gosh...I admire those guys so much!!
That harp guitar part should have been made into a song!
magici...orientali....
No problem! Enjoy!
@veedub87 Oh, no...does this mean I have to do all those charitable things I promised to do if this day ever came?
💯💞🔥💝💘💋
This is the Alhambra video.
very long time ago...
6:40..........Iran has those!
Still top tier TTP!
Those are the benefits of living in a place like Canada.....many nationalities and tastes in so called "good music"
Now, that is "indie."
Great video, bad editing
Brian Cullen it’s from the Alhambra release on cd rom that’s why it looks like that!
