    G.I.Gurdjieff
Gurdjieff, born in Armenia in the late 19th century, is considered to be one of the most influential spiritual leaders of the 20th century, created the approach of the Harmonious Development of Man in the course of his journeys throughout the world. His extraordinary musical repertoire was based on the music he heard while traveling in Armenia, the Caucasus, the Middle East, Central Asia, India, and North Africa, where he witnessed a myriad of folk and spiritual music, rituals, and dance traditions. Gurdjieff’s music consists of 300 pieces and fragments for the piano he composed in the 1920s by dictating them orally to his student, the Russian composer, and pianist Thomas de Hartmann. Gurdjieff’s compositions have been studied in the West, largely via the piano transcriptions of Thomas de Hartmann.
Along with The Gurdjieff Ensemble, Levon Eskenian goes beyond the printed notes to look at the musical traditions that Gurdjieff encountered during his travels and the rearrangements were created to preserve their authenticity. With this project and internationally acclaimed album Music of Georges I. Gurdjieff released on ECM Records, the ensemble returns the music of Gurdjieff to its inspirational sources.

A superb interpretation of Gurdjieff/deHartmann music and a fitting dedication for Jan 13th, tribute to Gurdjieff's birthday, a coming into this world, and gratitude to him for bringing great riches to those who seek for meaning.
And gratitude to all involved in this presentation, musicians... to drone, at such an ancient site. The whole is a gift of great beauty. Thanks to fellow searchers who sent this link, after our 13th celebration, so not seen live. From Ottawa, Canada.

What can be better than native music? Actually the deepest music that describes the nature and beautiful sides of people and their culture. We've been taught that differences is something uncomfortable and bad, but in fact it's our richness as a species! We can learn from each other and share our cultures respectfully and with love in our hearts it is so natural! Thank you so much for this beautiful performance🙏

At 4 minutes into the song I was separated from my self, I thought of that
how I carefully pot the young tobacco plants into a large pot and how beautifully they grow and so on. And suddenly I was back to myself and thought, hey, where was I now, and then I noticed that Gurdjieff spoke of these things about being separated. Thank you for this wonderful experience and my greatest respect for this beautiful art

"As composições de Gurdjieff foram todas escrita para piano (através de seu fiel discípulo, o pianista e compositor Thomas de Hartmann), o diretor artístico do grupo fez as transcrições para instrumentos orientais. “É uma música que foi criado com instrumentos orientais”, diz Levon Eskenian, “e está ligada à natureza do terreno e paisagens em que surgiu, está relacionada com a língua e as tradições de seus respectivos grupos étnicos“.

If the gods have to become human by the faithful story of the common people the kingdom can be justified abolished for Heaven's promise to life and Creation.
When I was wandering trough Anatolia by bus with a friend after passing the exams of secondary school ('87) in our personal belief once we were invited to join visiting this place near the border of Armenia and there they were playing the same music before we had our conversation with Heaven's promise for the future. It was an area of the connection between the steppes and the Middle East with the inheritance of the earth since the beginning. Sweet memories with a deeper meaning where I kept my promises.

G' s teachings about energy can be very useful. Focus your attention on your right little finger while you listen to a speech. You will make the speech a part of you. Focus attention on the feeling of touching the ground when you walk. Your mind can stay quiet for a long time. When looking at someone, look at the space around them and slowly you will begin to be aware of their energies. And intentions.
G was into the combining of energies. Focus on feeling the presence of light in your shoulders as you dig a ditch. Focus on the feeling of the world under your feet as you listen to a politician. Energy will gather.
Focus on all the worlds above you, then your head, your chest, your hips, your knees, and the feeling of the ground under your feet - all at the same time - and they will become one thing. Light will come from above into you.
John Godolphin Bennett was a student of G's who pursued his teachings to the root, and then taught a year-long class for seven years. A number of his students are still teaching G's inner work.
