    Went to McDonald's last evening with my daughter to get an ice cream. She saw the Grimace socks for sale so I got her a pair. I was laughing at her wanting those socks. Now I want those Makita socks. Don't laugh at me. It's different.

    For extra added OCD, put Milwaukee, AEG/Ridgid and Cryobis in their own 'TTI' section.

      If you take a look at the board you will see I have already done that, with all 3 in the bottom right corner in their own hierarchical order.

    I would have mounted them all horizontal like the Ryobi 36Vs, then you can put 2 columns back to back. Keep the top row facing downwards so it's easier to put them in, though. All in all, I would have just gone for a cabinet 😂

    Bummer that the battery mounts have holes that don't align with pegboards.

      Remember that not all Makita products are released worldwide or may differ from your local product/s.

    Freaking cool man! I’m not a reviewer but 8 battery platforms if a lot for a DIYer I think, what do you think? Lol

      Even the amount of Makita batteries is overkill, If they don’t leave the driveway. But it is a cool collection.

      as soon you seen american flag in the shop or channel graphics, you know its another redneck all anti non american stuff clown. and no, i won't chill, because this is constant thing i noticing on youtube channels. its their side that its unfriendly, unfair (as to (non american) brands, as to nationalities) and in many cases racists and very rude.

    I use plastic rivets and scews to attach battery holders to my pegboard as an alternative to rivets, easy to remove and re-fit. Not sure one of those would hold the weight of an XGT battery though.

    The look on your face when you realized they were all upside down. :( Would it have worked to tap the holes and use short machine screws instead of rivets?

    • @ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL
      @ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. And it was something I was going to do to mount the chargers. But it would take a lot longer than the riveting. Plus I was reviewing rivet guns whilst I was doing it.

    In my opinion, battery holders are a big waste of money, space and time for mounting. Makes absolutely no sense. A normal cheap metal shelf can store a lot more of batteries. Uses less space. And is also a very tidy solution.

    • @timchampion722
      @timchampion722 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I wouldn't use them in a shop setting, but I love them in my work van, keeps them from rattling around

    • @patbird9694
      @patbird9694 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      You probably don’t have lots of power tools to say that.(Only one)
      Having a dedicated mounting space for batteries / power tools storage helps you keep track of missing batteries or power tools at a glance.Placing power tools and batteries on a metal shelf takes up more space. And it prone to getting knocked off when you bump into it.
      I 3d print my power tools and batteries holders .

    • @andymora5595
      @andymora5595 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@patbird9694 You are wrong. I have lot of tools. But limited space in workshop. So a compact metal shelf is much better. Batteries on upper shelf, battery loaders and an power strip with 3 separate switches for all 6 chargers on lower shelf. I also can hang up the drills on the corner of the shelf.
      It is a sheap metal shelf which I cut into half , mounted it upside town to have a edge so that batteries and other things can't fall down.
