SURPRISING. Leica distro vs dewalt/other laser distance measurer.

surprising results comparing a Leica distro d2 to a dewalt 03050. I know they don't have the exact same features but I bought one to replace the other and at first wasn't satisfied. I'm the end I surprised myself when I set out to see which one was a better value.

Could you please try the stake out function on the Leica D2 please and tell me how does yours behave? I have just bought one and when i enter the stake out function and start measuring the initial distance is not zero but there is a few centimeters offset alredy depending on how far is the Leica placed from the wall when i initialize the stake out function. Because of this initial offset the very first point is beeping (beeping when the Leica zeroes out by moving it) sooner than the preset value. I would like to know if yours are starting from zero value or there is something i dont understand. I would be grateful. Thank you

I like the Bosch. For the price of 70$ it does well.

Bosch is not as accurate it’s only good for room area...
You can measure trim such as crown moulding with the Leica not so much with the Bosch

The dewalt is $140 here in Australia and the Leica is 240, not a fair comparison. But he dewalt with the same model number is different here in australia, dont know if it's a refresh or whatever

I think there is a newer model from dewalt with same number, i was also confused when i saw the same model number with different picture of product in some webshops in my country(slovakia)

the au update model includes Bluetooth and supports the Tool Connect app. Took ages to find the correct manual for it till I worked out how to downlead it from inside the toolconnect app
