Just picked up a mini b this week and already have a big block plate on order. I also got a 7575R which I got a hw1080 to pair up too. Just avoiding brushless for fun. Loved stumbling over this video
I'm running brushed for the same reason, to show what can be done. I'm still looking for a good working esc. the ISDT70 I'm using doesn't coast around very well so I feel like I'm always fighting it.
@@lawton70 bro go old school and find like a novak gtx... They're unlimited on voltage and motor so either 2s or 3s would be nothing and whatever motor you'd wanna run you'd be covered. There were plenty of small light weight esc you can pick up from early 2000's to 2008ish that would stomp the brush esc options out today.
The carpet is CRC grey carpet, made for onroad racing. It is lower grip than the current crc black carpet. A smooth soft tire offers more grip than the hard pointed carpet tires.
Nice vids you make. I own a stock mini-t brushed and want to install a Latrax 7575R. Will it work with the stock motor plate or for example the Losi LOS312005? I live in Europe and don’t see locally any ‘big bore’ plates. Any help is appreciated 👍
No, a latrax motor won't work with the stock plate. The latrax uses 3mm screws and the stock are 2mm, the latrax screws are 17mm apart and the stock is 14mm. The plate I have used is here on the spare time hobbies website: sth.ecwid.com/products/Losi-Mini-T-2-0-B-Latrax-Motor-LTX-Motor-Plate-p529966554
yeah, I maxed the DR on the rtr esc. I only replaced it because it was only 20A. the esc is completely enclosed in its plastic case so it was hard to actually measure how hot it was getting.
@@lawton70 I was just checking as it’s a commonly overlooked setting… As a new Mini-b owner myself, I’m really enjoying this video series. Keep up the good work!
@@SpencerPPyne Agree. Way back on the first day out in the first video there were a couple fellows with the RTR radio and the first thing we did was to adjust the throttle in case it was set low. In my case it didn't seem to be but there isn't much indication on the rtr radio to let you know how its set. Thanks for checking out the series! I always wonder what people think of it.
Don't forget that you can put the mini t rear tires on your mini b for a higher gear ratio the mini bee has smaller tires😊

I use sway bars when I have handling problems 😊
I will give them a try in an upcoming video.
I love it, the mod journey has been very cool.
Its getting close! Just need to get more handling to take the speed!
Thanks for the videos! What kind of carpet is that track? I'm amazed that those stock tires have traction on carpet

Another big thing that changes the shocks it the losi metal shocks they make it way smoother
Good tip! I'll look into getting a set.
Where did you get that fan?
@@shawnbrockert1649 i use the fan from a hobbywing pro spec.esc. they are a small 20mm fan. I think you can get them separate from the esc.

Out of curiosity, did you increase the throttle DR while you were still running the OE ESC?
