Hey bud! Thanks for your review! That's the exact question that I had about this setup. I am surprised they did not implement load monitoring feature so that it balances to precise voltage instead of stopping discharge once the specified storage voltage is hit. Same problem with their BD200 and BD250 dischargers. You can ofcourse mostly remedy this problem by decreasing the discharge current and lowering discharge voltage to say 3.80v/cell. That being said, look into KACALLAP a12 LiPo Battery Smart Discharger. Those will balance to 3.80v/cell automatically with no bounce back. They just recently re-appeared for sale. They used to balance to 3.85v/cell but I just got two of them today from Amazon and they now discharge to 3.80v/cell even though the manual says that they should be stopping at 3.85. No big deal. Current will be set automatically based on 130w max power discharge. Ex: 6s dischargers at 5A. 4s dischargers at 7A. Give it a try

That's no review, that's a high value lab test. Great video! I have this motor and I push it above 80k RPM frequently without any issues. It's a great value and quality motor indeed

I recently bought the D200neo and BD380 and I see that there is now a Holding Voltage option under the settings after firmware update. I wonder if Holding Voltage works in Storage mode or not, there's not really much info about it. I'm going to test it, but it's hard to tell because when it reaches storage voltage and is at the Done screen, it doesn't show you real time cell voltages. I'm going to try getting to connect a cell checker inline for that info when I do more testing. I know when I had Trickle Charge and Holding Voltage both turned on and completing a Balance Charge at the Done screen, after awhile the fan kicked on and the BD380 display showed voltage at 17.80v. Ending voltage on my LiHV should've been 17.40v meaning it was probably "Trickle Charging" or "Holding Voltage" after the voltages dropped. My guess is that it was Trickle Charging and not Holding Voltage. I'll try to get more testing done and report back.

very informative vid !! I have same motor as you do; it comes timing pre-set to 30degree. I see your is the same. Did you try other timing, say 0 degree and check the performance? I usually set 0 timing for all my motors. This one with 0 timing pass analyzer test but is barely able to spin once loaded, namely with wheels and placed on ground. I am not sure if it is a defective motor.

Hi I just need to do a correction what I said about the storage mode on the Sky RC ultimate charger. I said in my last comment that you can adjust the voltage on the storage mode but that is NOT correct. You only adjust the amp and the number of cell voltage, 7.4 2s, 11.1v3s e.t.c as usual. The 3.8V storage setting for each cell for Lipo battery is not adjustible but you don't need to adjust that. Every type of battery has the correct storage for each cell built in the program. The rest I said about the charger in my last comment is right.

Hi again I return with update on my new Sky RC ultimate 400w charger I just bought. This charger work when it comes to storage mode on both ways. The storage mode is adjustible but for lipo it is 3.8 and you can't adjust to 0.5 in between so for example 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 e.t.c As I said the storage mode work both ways and what I mean is, if your battery has a higher voltage than 3.8, then it discharge the cells to 3.8 on storage mode. If the voltage is lower than 3.8, it charge the cells to 3.8 on storage mode. One of my 11.1volt lipo seems to be bad even if the battery is just 2 years old and I have been careful with it and keep it on storage under winter time. The charger could not end the storage on the battery even thou the cells was on 3.8V so I had to terminate the storage by hand by push stop. I can't blame the charger for this problem when the other 3 lipos stoped at 3.8V. I think the Sky RC ultimate 400w is their best charger, better than their new q400neo but it is also their most expensive so it should be very good and the best and work properly. Hope this info can help anyone.

Hi Thank you for bringing up the issue. The same issue is on their new sky rc q400neo and also on the new Team Orion charger that also is a small charger. I have borrow the new Sky rc q400neo charger from a friend that have just bought it. The storage mode does not work as it should on that either. The storage volt is set to 3.8volt and it´s permanent. The storage mode should be 3.85 or at least be adjustable. Still the charger stops the storage volt on the battery when "done" at 3.76-3.77 instead of 3.8v. The highest discharge voltage you can set is 2.0A. I also noticed that you can only storage the battery from lower voltage than 3.8 but when you need to storage charge your battery from higher volt than 3.8 it does not work. It still want to charge in more volt then 3.8 instead of discharge the battery to 3.8 on storage. I´m not going to buy this new q4000neo. Instead I´m going to try my luck with the Sky rc ultimate 400w charger instead that has a max discharge voltage of 5A, just like my older Team Orion charger.

I have been going through some of your older videos for the past few days. It was halfway through the race footage here when I looked up local stores and left to go buy 2 mini b pro rollers and a treat bag of stuff to put in them. Home now and ready to take these lessons beyond theoretical.

Does it have a replaceable fuse inside? Mine just died and it sounded like a blown fuse

I stopped racing Touring Car (17.5) in 2017 and using my Fantom meter, the BEST stock 7.2/12.5 rotors were around 1650 to MAYBE 1700. I just bought a "modern" car (of ALL classes in RC, the one that changed the most in the last 7 years, is Touring Car as they pretty much all copy the Awesomatix car by eliminating hinge pins, going to pivot ball outers, SUPER short shocks and mid motor) I just bought a relatively inexpensive Rocket RC Superlight 17.5 and noticed immediately the rotor was EXTREMELY hard to turn once in the car. It states it is ROAR legal so I am assuming that still means a 7.2mm inner diameter. Anyway, on my Fantom it is registering 1800/1810 gauss! It seems to me I am going to have put a bigger pinion and wind up with 3.85-3.95 FDR on my medium sized black carpet track. Pretty incredible!

Thanks for sharing! I have 2 mini B's, one was converted from a mini T, and the other goes 80mph! I'm still lost on tuning the chassis and suspension. I've shimmed a few things with good results, but the steering still has so much slop that makes it hard to tune consistently.

Pretty cool. Ive been Getting into rc's and got a mini t last moth, since they were on sale. Now i have 3 mini t and one mini b that i plan to do a conversion into a brushless, with the engine that one mini t has. Where i live there arent many mini races, only 10th scale stuff but hopefully more stuff starts coming down here and more people get into it. But yeah your videos are super cool wnd nice to watch :))

cud u please do the tlr cva review? also if you run jconcepts wheels in back you will need to take a knife and sort of make the ball cup an open ball cup to avoid it from binding on the wheel, also remove shims. Thanks for another great vid tho.

Don't forget that you can put the mini t rear tires on your mini b for a higher gear ratio the mini bee has smaller tires😊

I put cooling holes in my mini b body like the nitro cars to help keep the motor cool and it helps 🙂
