If the theory of Moonlight Sonata is wrong, many people hated it because the movements are swapped. But we didn't know if the theory is true. Because as the theory says, this is actually the 1st movement (not the 3rd), the slow movement is the 2nd, not the first. And the rondo is the 3rd not the second. It makes a lot of sense, but Beethoven was known for breaking rules and changing traditions
