I never thought I would have a country western song on repeat. Nor a song that I could bond with my 80 year old dairy farmer father in law. I should know not to underestimate Dustin.
I can close my eyes and remember last seeing Dustin perform in 2015... I was such a kid back then haha. A few months ago, I found the kind of love he wrote about in Of Crows and Crowns. Who knew!? Thank you for more music.
This is a music crossover I didn't expect. Cat Clyde had my most listened to song in 2023, and Dustin in 2020, and Thrice was definitely all the years before that.
I've always had a thing for songs that fall under the Americana genre. And I've kept up with Dustin since Please Come Home. The stars are aligning in a very pleasing manner for me with this one here.
I’ve always enjoyed all of Dustin’s work with Thrice more than his solo records, but damn a collab with Cat Clyde is the perfect way to hear his first country track 🤠
Dude, I'm from Brazil and I say, Americans are lucky. Imagine living in a country where there is nothing, no culture that makes you feel proud? And I can feel that with American culture! Very good! God bless the USA. A hug from Brazil.
Dustin is BLESSED with genius level songwriting. And I love how he occasionally hints at that, like in "Heart of Sedona", or through many of his albums with Thrice. The lyrics are often poetry, like in "Light of the Moon". His voice fits the genre so well that at times I get vibes of Johnny Cash. I think the reason he and Thrice never really went mainstream, is that they always stayed true and never sold out. What's more "punk" than that?? Absolutely LOVE this album. Bravo! 🔥🎙️
This is literally my dream genre from you man. It's exactly how you said it would sound except even better. I am so unbelievably stoked. Hoping for pre order vinyl info soon.
Is this his biggest slice of Americana ever? I really like the slide guitar. Nice to hear some "down home" stuff from Dustbin instead of him trotting out some biblical references. Looking forward to this album.
The biblical references are genius and actually has depth and weren't completely on-the-nose and actually had to know your Bible stories and have an IQ higher than 10 to understand them. Plus, all Truth comes from God. Music was created by God. And if you're an atheist, matter in motion can't create immaterial, abstract truth.
If you guys like this album you should check out Shawn James' last album, also a fantasy western. Way more intense lyrics. this album is sonically perfect but the lyrics feel, well, bland, like a worship band wrote it. There are a lot of much better versions of this kind of thing out there from independent country artists.
You're silly. A worship band would not have "damn" or references to cocktails in their lyrics. You have mentioned the other artist in two of Dustin's songs, but fail to even mention the album by name lol
@@namewithoutdigits buddy this album is super bland if you're already familiar with the genre. Worship music is bland, that's the point i"m making, not that this specific thing is worship music. I'm sure if it's your first introduction to spaghetti-western-inspired music it's going to sound amazing but I'm telling you there are far better albums out there with this sound. Go explore the genre- it's amazing. .

The world needs more Dustin Kensrue
Dustin is immensely underrated
Baffling how varied the music that comes out of this human is. Anything but one dimensional, if nothing else. So cool.
is it though? His past solo releases tend to lean towards acoustic country quite a lot. Especially the Please Come Home EP

dustin is a master of his craft.
i've been listening since 2001.
god bless him.
There has never been another artist that comes even close than Dustin and the boys. It's just so varied and they don't know how to make a bad song.
The same guy that screams Paper Tigers! Love love love this and love your diverse creations of music, Dustin.

DK is the only person that can sing country where I don’t want to turn off the song
Check out Tyler Childers
Can’t do much better than collab with Cat Clyde either. I’m not a country fan, and seeing her play live is the best show I’ve seen in many months
Uncle Tupelo

Pretty close to the same here 😂 when I first saw this I thought Spotify had used AI to create a song for me
Which songs by them?
@@namewithoutdigits I don't belong here, Dance me to the End of Love
I was waiting for that Dustin belt. His range is both impressive and unpredictable.
I need more Dustin in my life.
He just....keeps getting better ❤

This is him at perhaps his most 'Americana' thus far. impressed with his California Countrification right now. =D
Hell yes! I’d be all about an entire country album from Dustin!
Your voice fits this style of music perfectly. Great song!
What can't this man do?? Everything he does sounds amazing. This song is fantastic
I've been waiting for new stuff since Carry the Fire...woohoo!!!!
Good heavens, what a gorgeous song! Can't wait for the album.

Ive been checking in since 1st seeing thrice in 2006 at 11years of age. Very deeply imbedded in my soul. Thank you if you read these.

Love this Americana style with the steel pedal! MORE MORE MORE PLEASE!
Amazes me how you can pull off the emotion you do in every song going back to when I was a kid listening to Deadbolt. Keep up the great work!
As a die-hard Thrice fan who's been more into the songwriter realm the last few years, this is an interesting and wonderful happening.
I wish I could find tabs for this
I love this Dustin keeps knocking it out the park with every project he is involved with ❤❤

SO GOOD DUSTIN. Keep it up, love everything you do, thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed the music. But because I know some of these folks it is dear to my heart.
Make more music.
Steel strings hold such a special place, in my heart. This is beautiful. Thank you. ❤
This rocks
Ever since I heard ‘Consider the Ravens’ - I new this day would, one day, come for Dustin.
‘Bout damned time.
Love this fantastic vocals and superb harmony, brilliant musicianship. Thanks for This Wonderful Upload. Regards Frank
Can’t wait for the LP Desert Dreaming this Friday!!!

I have been playing please come home album for so long and I still never get tired of it. Thank you 🙏 also you have not aged a day lmao damn
Oh man, a whole album that sounds like this? Amazing!!
This is just so perfect. So happy he’s doing a full album with this Americana sound!
Dustin this is amazing! Thank you so much!
What a delight of music
Thank you very much ❤🎉
Here for it 🔥💯
Yay! So excited for this! I had no idea it was even coming! It’s like an unexpected Christmas.
Keep the tunes coming! And great job to guest Cat Clyde!
So unbelievably charming and wholesome. I love it.
Love all of your music, great song to listen to after a long day at work. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album!

wonderful song
I hope the record is whole like this 😍😍😍😍
Simply amazing as always
Love it ❤
This may overtake Pistol as my favorite songs of your solo work. Been fun to watch your's and Thrice's growth since the good ol' days at Irvine High.
I love this so much! It is giving me Shovels and Ropes vibes
Beautiful
Great harmonies
@dustinkensrue is truly a king upon men
So Good! 🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼
Death Valley is awesome!
So good ❤
I CAN NOT BELIEVE this is the same Dustin Kensrue that screams “RHETORIC CANT RAISE THE DEAD, IM SICK OF ALWAYS TALLLLLLKINNNNNNG…”
Only singer/songwriter who makes me go what the actual fuck, in a weird yet good way. 😂❤
stoked!!
I’d freaking lose it if we ever saw a Sierra Ferrell / Dustin duet
oh hell yeah
The goat
Ah man. So good.
Amazing!
Yeah man! Got yourself a hit right here.
Let's goooooo
Great song and video mate!
I've played this video at least 68K times at least
Full album produced by Butch Walker please
My body is ready for another DK solo album...
I'd do anything to get the guitar tabs/chords for this song
Finally!
SO STOKED.

@dustinkensrue I can’t tell if your 5’ 10’ or 6’ 3’ you seem either tall or average and I’ve never been this perplexed by someone’s height before.
I met him once and I'm 6'3 and we were eye to eye
He tall af bruh.

I know every some time Dustin has a phase, but Country Boy is too much
Even for him
no ur wrong. he kills it.
You’re just dead inside.
I'm not saying this is a bad song.
i'ts just feels so weird because, Country is very related to religion, and more than ever he's so apart from that.

Homie must have missed his other albums.
Much better than the woke garbage coming out of Thrice over the past few albums.
Your loss. Keep being miserable
wtf are you talking about hahaha totally missed the point
Can you please explain what you mean?
