      I got quite easy access to it from behind with a long extension and 1/4 inch ratchet but agreed, the left side isn't as easy. I didn't remove the wheel on either side.

    Replaced my RL ABS sensor this evening, but sadly the ABS and traction control lights are still on along with the warnings about hill start and city stop. I fear the problem might be else where i.e. broken wire or dodgy connection somewhere on mine.
    Accessing that torx screw was bit of a pain, trying to see what you are doing and finding a angle to get the screw driver in.

      Try sticking a 1 mil washer maybe just a little smaller if you can get hold of one. Some times the abs ring swells.

      You need a specific sensor that supports the park assist / hill assist. Best to remove the sensor and check the parts number on the one you have. There are multiple versions. You Must Replace like for like.

    • @Martysworkshop
      @Martysworkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to read the dtc in the abs module was it a voltage code? Or a tone ring code? It could be the tone ring built into the wheel bearing.

    What is the price range of a fix like this on 2010 Ford Focus?

    • @Martysworkshop
      @Martysworkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the sensors is around £20 for the sensor (link in description) then Labour in mu area is around £50 an hour so no more than an hour to replace, and some garages charge a plug in fee for the diagnostic whitch can cost anything up to £50, so no around £100 -£150 depending on garages I guess. Hope this helps

      That's more than enough, so what scanner are you using? Does it have live data? You would need to pull up the 4 wheel speeds on a graph and drive the car then compare the signals, if 1 is missing or all over the place then that is your problem area, it could also be the pickup ring witch is ether in the wheel bearing or mounted on the hub
