Israel Part 10 Final: Caiaphas House, Stations of the Cross, Church of Holy Sepulchre, Garden Tomb

Final video of my past trip to Israel. Apologies overdue for my bad videos. This was 2017 and I’ve learned to film in landscape mode and slow down. These videos were my way of finally organizing my pictures and film. This has been a build up to Holy Week. I have included the Pool of Bethesda which was amazing. So large. The cripple who had waited so many years was finally healed by Jesus at this site. The visit to the traditional site of Caiaphas house was moving as we walked the steps that were there during Jesus time. It is the most likely spot to actually touch stones he walked on. The Sacred Pit which would have been under the house was entered through the church. The steps were added. The prisoners would have been lowered to into the pit by rope where there was no light. Jesus might have been in this pit as he waited his trial with Pontius Pilate. One of our pastors sang Psalm 22 while we were in the pit which was very moving. I wish I would have recorded.
We followed the stations of the cross,Via Dolorosa, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This is the site of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Again, a most moving experience.
We also visited the Garden Tomb which was discovered in 1867. Not likely Jesus tomb, but similar to the tomb of the time.
My experience in Israel as a Christian was such a blessing. I read the Bible every morning and now I read it in living color. So much history in this country. When it’s safe to travel there I recommend to every person of faith to visit. Thanks for watching!
