Mine showed up in the mail today. Fished it right away. Did not buy the set. Bought rod only. Very happy with it. Overall very nice. Very good. I fish with a tenkara a lot so I am very familiar with the techniques and expectations. My only two small issues... number 1... and this is on me not them... My standard tenkara lines (used on my Tenkara Rod Co. Sierra) are too long for this shorter rod. I made a new shorter line after my first outing (followed length suggestions found on one of Tiny Tenkara's videos) and was much happier with castability and control. So... suggested... use a shorter line. Other thing... The top edges of the tube segments are not finished in any way. The top ends are just cut clean. My Tenkara rod co. Sierra has a nice bevel at the top of each tube section making the opening and closing of the rod a bit smoother. When collapsing the rod from large to small the tube edges are rough/sharp. Some form of polish/finish/bevel would be a nice touch. Steps and processes add cost, I am sure, but this l'il guy is by no means a cheapie. You cannot beat the size and performance. I caught a handfull of moderate size bluegill with this l'il thing and had a blast. An 8oz. gill feels like a tuna. I highly recommend this product. I will likely not travel without it. I travel for work quite a bit and there is always a pond somewhere. This removes any excuse not to be ready and able to fish. THX for the vid. Cheers!
Yea you can tell the pvc material in the inside is not of high budget. I think not buying the he set is better too. That 2.5 level line is too soft for this rod. Id suggest 3.5.
@@skiddyfishing I was not referencing the tube of the case. I love that tube as much as you do. I was referencing the carbon fiber rod segment top edges... rough, no finish on them. Look at a rod from Tenkara Rod Co. Top of every segment have a beveled finish. Very smooth. Very nice. Fished the tiny again today... Bunch of bluegill. had a blast. Cheers!
Beautiful little rod. I have a few perfect creeks for that rod. The rod sock is embarrassing....or at least to TT it should be. Seriously, how much would a decent sock add to the cost....$1.00?

Yea the sock is definitely not the best.
