Enjoyed the action with those beautiful Red Brest under the bridge... nice and aggressive. Impressed with your versatility in styes of fishing and your willingness to try something different. I've been lucky to have caught all kinds of fish from around the world with Tenkara. Fun and relaxing way to slow down and enjoy being outside... and still catch some fish. LOL. I'm guessing you bend down the barb on our hooks. Have you thought about using a "de-hooking tool" . I make small ones using a wine cork and 220# test deep sea trolling leader wire. We used them on the dock at the National Scut Jamboree this summer and it was easy to release the fish without touching it. Although lots of kids wanted to hold their fish and take pictures. Again, thanks for the video and sharing your fishing adventures with us... FISH ON ! Aloha, Stan
Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out tenkara, but it is a lot of fun. I try to be as responsible as possible when handling fish and am always looking for ways to improve. Can you link a photo of the tool you are talking about?
I have made a small, light weight, de-hooking tool using a wine cork and a piece of bicycle spoke. Now days I use 22'#test leader wire and a wine cork... perfect for the size fish you and I are catching. LOL. Not sure how to send you pictures.@@reddyonthewater3049
You’re at a small creek because that’s all that tiny little rod can handle is a little baby fish. Why don’t you try not torturing tiny little baby fish.
Shut up Todd, Nobody cares about your tool opinions on fishing. Just imagine having fun fishing and then some asshole comes up saying things like "that's not fishing". You're a loser.
It's nice to just catch some. They feel huge on a tenkara rod. It's my new obsession.
Yeah, it's been a lot of fun and definitely makes each fish you catch a bit more interesting. Thank you for watching!

My first tenkara fish were on the Tiny Tenkara.. have 5 different rods now 😅Great video !
Learning so much from your channel. I have never even heard of that rod.
What people call limitation i call it fun.
Nice vid, could spend a good portion of my life fishing that Creek!
You're absolutely correct. I think that creek is pretty special too
Looking forward to fishing with you. Don
Anytime!
Utah Killer Kebari in a size 14 and a wiggly worm with a reverse hackle should be very effective in streams like that.
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll look into how to tie those. Much appreciated!
Tenkara is Japanese for “expensive cane pole” but seriously looks like fun style of fishing. I will be getting one soon
It's like that, yes, but so much more fun!
much nicer touch than cane.
man thats a nice spot
lol funny thing is we used these as kids, only they were made with cheap bamboo rods.
yay, you caught a guppy
Fish for bigger fish man.
Why? Having a smallest fish fishing competition is fun as hell
oh, shoot, you lost a little guppy
tenkara is not really fishing
Bro instead of hating why not just ignore other people’s interests when you aren’t interested?
Wow! FIVE comments on how you don't like Tenkara. Beat it geek.
