  • Product review of the Songmics 30L Pedal Bin £45 from www.manomano.co.uk.
I needed to find a narrow but wide bin to fit a certain area in my kitchen.
    Pros+
    1. Very nice Matt finish.
    2. Lightweight and narrow fits nicely in small spaces
    3. Soft close feature and stay open lid feature
    Cons-
    1. I wish there was more room to slot the binliner inside so it was not visible.
    2. If it was a sensor lid. Bonus there.
    3. Wish the pedal could be slightly bigger.
To check out the review of my first sensor bin from B&Q and why i "bin-ed' it see the link below.

How do you change the bag for it? Using the official bags which are sold as “custom” fit. But they don’t fit. They’re tight & they obstruct the soft close on the bin itself.

why the inner bin has no handles? shall we put our arms around the inner bin to carry the bag out to a waste room?

Inner bin has a handle, so you can pull it out from the outer shell for cleaning or emptying.

How've you found it a year on?

It’s a good bin. I can see myself using it for many more years. It fits my requirement due to the size. The only one downfall is the song mics brand label is a cheap sticker which will eventually fall off. It would have been nice for them to engrave it or use a stronger sticker.

what's the use of the hole in the inside bin?

I guess there are several uses for this. You could loop rope inside to create a pull handle if you dont want to be pulling the bins from both ends to lift it up. Or my guess is the hole is for when the you put the bin bag in you slot a bit of the bin through the hole which holds the bag in place, because if you just put a bin bag inside without over covering the top of the bin, whatever you throw into the bin will push the bin bag further down.
