- I love making it rain beads :) This is my haul of Artkal mini beads, including 178 different colour bags and a boxed set of their mini beads. If you are looking for the most variety of colours to work with when making bead projects, Artkal is where you can find the colours you need and I will be using these for many future projects!
Also, I forgot to mention that C-beads are regular HARD mini beads that would make projects that can't bend as much. A-beads are the SOFT beads for mini beads. For midi beads, S-beads are HARD and R-beads are SOFT. Also, the bead colours do have names to them! I forgot to open up the bead colour chart which has a paper chart full of RGB values and names; they just don't have the names written on the package itself.

I just wanted to take the time to say that I'm so glad that I found your channel! I"ve heard of perler/artkal beads before but I've never been as serious about wanting to make them as I am now, after watching you! Your collection has inspired me to take up my own hobby of making little sprites from video games and movies that I love. Hi DQ, just wanted to clarify a couple things. I've been using these beads for about a year and a half, and I'm rather familiar with them.
The Mini A-Series beads you were sent before are made of a softer plastic, and is bendy with the finished product. The newer C-Series is more firm, and more similar to Perler plastic. Personally I prefer A-Series, but that's just me. Also, each color does actually have it's own name. After watching a couple of your videos last week and seeing you present a color chart given to you from Artkal containing the RGB values of their colors, I contacted them asking for a similar chart. To my surprise, they gave me a spreadsheet containing the RGB value of all 178 colors, and more importantly, the in house names for each color.
DQ, I love your channel because you are a fellow bead-spriter like me who does complicated projects. I'd love to talk to you more about stuff, and plan to get my own channel going soon. I currently use Perler beads therefore I have Perler brand pegboards. Do the C-2.5mm & S-5mm beads fit close enough on Perler brand boards for proper fusing?
Yes, I use Artkal midi beads on perler pegboards all the time. I think mini beads should work too because I use perler mini beads on Artkal mini bead pegboards, so they are pretty much the same!

Great video. Found your channel when you published the artkal warehouse visit. Inmediatly after the video i visited artkal website, because i got very interested in the flexible beads as i want to make something that does not get damaged by bending it, also i want to make some keychains and think with flexible material they would be more resistant, also big proyects would be easily transported if they can be rolled up as shown in the video. In the website i got confused about the flexible beads can you help me distisguish the flexible ones from the normal ones.

The website labels the soft beads as R-beads for midi and A-beads for mini beads. I haven't really tried them before, so I don't know if they can bend as much as you would like them to. Maybe one day I can review them to see how much they can bend!

i just started using perler beads about a week ago and i was wondering in this brand is better than perler
Artkal has a lot more colours than perler, but both are pretty much the same in quality so it really depends on what colours you think you'll need and your budget! I use both perler and artkal beads in the same project sometimes, but that's only for the midi 5mm size. Both are great brands for beading!
