    I just dropped my watch on the tile floor and the screen shattered. I like to try and repair what I can, but I don’t have many of these tools, so I’ve determined it’s time to upgrade my 4 year old series 5. Thanks for showing what it would take.

    Good job again my friend. I underestimated the importance of easing the cracked edges away from the body and ended up, damaging the display with lines running through it.

    How thick is that plastic card u are using? 0.1mm thin enough?

    • @FIXDPHONES

      It can be. I use a specific OCA protector sheet that protects the OCA during installation as the plastic I show in the video.

    Great job. New subscriber. Also, what would you recommend to remove scratches from iwatch screen due to normal wear and tear. I took the screen protector off of it due to needing a new one but never purchased one (lazy) and stored it for a while and forget about it due to the battery not holding a decent charge but since the update of 10.1 I have decided to give it another chance and have noticed the screen has scratches 😢, thanks in advance.

    • @FIXDPHONES
      @FIXDPHONES  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the sub! There are some professional machines that buff out scratches, but the easiest way it to apply a tempered glass that has a liquid adhesive so it fills the scratches giving it the appearance that it’s not scratched. Watch my tempered glass videos

    hi I was wondering if I can use a pressure cooker as a homemade autoclave. Would it damage the electronics of the digitizer?

    • @FIXDPHONES
      @FIXDPHONES  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pressure cookers get hot to produce the pressure and they will exceed the temperatures the displays can withstand so I definitely wouldn’t do it.

    Hey FIXD, can you tell me, what the third flexcable glued to the scren is for? I accidentally broke it, and thought it doesn't connect anywhere, but unfortunately my screen is not showing anything right now... Any clues?

    • @FIXDPHONES
      @FIXDPHONES  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the model and which third you are referring to. Most watches go (starting from the left) display, touch, then NFC. Hope that helps. They all come as a unit if one gets damaged. The connectors on the other hand that’s another story

    • @chaosdesigner123

      @@FIXDPHONES I'm talking about the Apple watch 6 44 mm. There's kind of like a third flex. It seems to not have any function at all

    Hello. Why don't you remove that brownish sealing rubber that to me looks like a adhesive tape? shouldn't the glue be enough in order to close it back?

    • @FIXDPHONES
      @FIXDPHONES  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a gasket that acts as a shock absorber. If I were to remove it then that would be like taking the suspension off a car. It would still work but you’d feel every bump in the road. The older models had force touch that doubled as this gasket.

    Hey,great videos,I see you have a lot of experience refurbishing Apple Watch screens so I have to ask you: what causes the screen to short out or get damaged in a way that the Apple Watches are on bootloop? I refurbished over 100 Apple Watches and with 3 this happened. Didn’t damage it,used 99% ISO alcohol,and somehow the watches are not turning on (Apple logo) with the refurbished screen (with a different screen they turn on)
    I will be grateful for your answer 👌
