Using nails when we play guitar can help give us a clearer, louder, and more consistent sound. However, using the nails in the wrong way or not taking care of them can make our sound even worse.
In this video, I show you the reason many guitarists play with nails, the technique of playing the guitar string, and how I shape my nails to give a better sound.

thanks for explaining it in less then 3 mins...only thing I will add is personally I always file the fretting nails as well all the way down to the cuticle...it sensitizes the finger tips

You can keep the thumbnail at a lenght that is suitable for your own playing. What u think feels the best, is what u should go with. The rest is the same. i keep mine a tad longer then the rest. But just keep the sides of the nail trimmed so u dont get stuck anymore :)
