Great build! One trick I saw on a different video a LONG time ago is to dig a hole under your benches and put some of the upgrades in the hole and when you cover it with the floor, you have a lot more room.
you say we dont have to do the exact same layout, but i find no other way to improve it so i think i will copy the exact same layout, good job, very very nice build.

Great build! This reminds me a bit of Versaugh's Viking Winter House build but much easier. I think I'll play around with combining the two styles this weekend, you've given me lots of ideas.
Your building guides are awesome, very well explained and detailed.You think you could one day make a longhouse similar to the starter longhouse you did but with stone and hearths basically and iron age longhouse?

not really sure, if you using wooden walls but still use logs for the centre fireplace to help support the roof, it could work, if using stone walls then it would definitely be better, main problem with this build was supporting the roof, only way i got round that was creating the centre fireplace.
not a mod, it is cheating so to speak using dev commands all tutorial builds are done this way to save time so the video is not hours long :) I know the feeling though I have done hundreds of builds in my playthroughs, building ladders and falling to my death trying to reach a certain point, the pain is real lol, I have done some smaller build videos without the dev commands turned on, just to show it can be done without the hassle and pain :)
The large Viking house is the newest Viking build that I have done trying to keep with the main theme of Valheim, love the way this one turned out.

This one's a master piece mate. Only quibble I have is the bee hives out front, lol but thats very minor. Cheers
Looks great easy to do get complete without needing Iron. Compact enough to easily defend with a earth wall and/or moat

Thanks, it as been awhile since I did a longhouse, got a few builds lined up, but will definitely add a iron age longhouse to the list.

Heath's dimension is 4x3, which is a nuisance to build in symmetric way...
So isn't the fact that he is building while floating a mod? If not. Please tell me how to do this so I can stop building annoying scaffolding.
