- This was rad. This kid started singing Matisyahu's "One day" and didn't know that the artist was right in front of him. Watch the reveal at the end. He still didn't believe it was him and it took a second for it all to sink in. Loved this moment. Update: the kids name is Kekoa or aka Clint Alama.

The best part about this video is that the street performer didnt even know it was Matisyahu until they finished performing the song and he proceeds to tell Matisyahu he has a beautiful voice. Thats the power of music. Connecting people through love and emotion.

Think it was the bass player who took the video. Matisyahu's bass player is Stu Brooks. Stu Brooks posted the video. Possibly him who started singing the backing vocals at the end as well.

I live in Phoenix & about 11 years ago I was driving to a job during lunch time & I was listening to the edge 103.9 fm and Matisyahu surprised the DJ and took over the radio and someone called in asking to hear the 311 song where Matis sang back up and he did not have it but played the 311 song and sang the parts live! Matis is a exceptional vocalist and this video is wonderful! That hour long drive changed my life. I heard music that I have never heard before and listen to daily. You never know when your life will be forever changed by another person who lives their best life everyday. Positive thoughts create positive minds!

I've watched this video over 100 times easy. I love the song but that's not what keeps bringing me back. It's the look on the singer's face. Just the pure joy his smile portrays. And as we know he didn't know it was Matisyahu. He's smile was just the joy of making that kind of musical connection with a stranger. That kind of innocent joy and the music that sprung forth is what will keep bringing me back. Simply great!

Only thing that sucks is the guy playing the uke is a pretty crappy person, or at least he’s done some pretty awful stuff and gone to prison for it. He was supposed to play with Matisyahu in Hollywood but got arrested shortly after this had to go back to prison for a parole violation.

Honolulu is cool town. I went there with my grandma before she passed away. Since I’m a trucker I’m always on the road I get to see a lot of america for “free” . But Honolulu has a majorly laid back vibe to it. New York has that hustle and major city vibe. Honolulu was almost the opposite. Thanks for the chance allowing me to feel your city’s vibe.
Tip to everyone: if you need somewhere to go for a week to get away from 300 work emails , and phone constantly ringing, and people asking you questions every 2 minutes go to Honolulu. I probably just sat on the beach for two hour and listened to the waves and soak up the sunset.

When I saw how he sang with Clint Alama and then made the effort to cut through all the red tape to get him onstage to perform with him, I knew this guy was for real!!!!
