I've eaten escargots in Montreal, good sauteed in garlic and butter. My experience in Paris was sleeping under bridges on the North Bank, walking the 20 km to Charles De Gaulle through Gonesse. Very beautliful city, wandered all over it, was there in August 2012.

You can always buy your entrance ticket to The Louvre in advance before you arrive in Paris. Check out their website or your local travel agent for more details. It's also good to purchase your ticket in advance to go up to the 1st and 2nd levels of the Eiffel Tower. However, going up to the 3rd level would require you to purchase your ticket when you are on the 2nd level.

The Eiffel Tower is usually referred to as a Lady, in French. I recommend coming in August because most Parisians are on summer break which means less people. For my first time in Paris, my friend and I arrived at the Louvre within an hour of it closing because we lost track of time while navigating the city. It worked out perfectly though because there was no line to get in, and we had enough time to see a few of the major pieces of art including the Mona Lisa and then leave. That was ok with me because I'm not a huge museum person, but I can still say I've been inside the Louvre. I'll probably do something similar the next time I go :)
My husband and I were married in front of the Eiffel Tower!!! Its so BEAUTIFUL THERE!! The food was BLAAHHH! LOL But we still enjoyed ourselves. We took a tour with our photographer on wedding day, and took so many great shots in front of the Louvre and Notre Dame!!
