- I made my way to The Floating City of Venice last summer and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! A city full of romance and serenity, great food, and built on water. It was an amazing experience and I hope you guys enjoyed this little adventure with me!

i think most of american tourist have an extremely superficial approach when visiting venice (and italy in general)... for them, we live in the country of pasta, pizza, good food and beautiful old buildings but there is so much more behind the history of those walls... when they walk in the streets they don't know anything about the history of what they're seeing...how can you really say to appreciate italy if you don't know why it's the piece of art it is? Venice, for example has been an indipendent and powerful republic for over than 1000 years...but when you come to italy it's a good thing to study before...bye...hope there will be another time you'll come here, but that time, be sure to know what you'll be visiting, you will surely enjoy it more...
Yep. That's why I visit Italy when I can because I actually know the history and fell in love with it on my first visit. I am even studying the Black Death in Italy for my master's thesis.

"european architecture" lol such a typical american thing to say
***** well, it's pretty important to specify the part of europe because there are thousands of different styles and types of architecture all of which are connected to many different cultures in europe. for example, european people will never identify themselves as "european", unlike americans who will first say they're american and then specify the part of america they're from. in europe we aren't very united as nations. there are a lot of very different cultures, and different architecture styles even within the same country, so saying something like "european architecture" is extremely vague and also kind of useless to say if you didn't specify on which architecture you're referring to. i hope this makes sense

One of the first things she says is 'I don't want to get ripped off just yet''. What's that about! Very short on detail, insight and very touristy. She clearly didn't get the best out of her Venice experience which is a shame. She ended up in a pizza franchise 'Rosso Pomodoro' on her last night. No mention of cicchetti? A bit of research would have made a massive difference. Her parting shot was to suggest the city will sink into the water. How ungracious.

I'm still in shock how good this video is!! I was in Venice and lived it all but i still love watching this video once a month to bring me back some memories, well done on this travel vlog its one of the best i've ever seen!
This lady knows nothing about Venice, has not understood the city and has taken nothing away with her except some pseudo romantic blather. If anyone sees this and thinks that this is the real Venice and comes here then they will be sorely disappointed. Venice is my home; it has a long, deep and fascinating history and the city today has many problems. This candyfloss waffle does nothing for us and in fact causes damage as the millions of insensitive tourists do every year. Please visit my city but please, do your homework, let the city work on you.It is not the place of packaged rubbish presented here.

I went to Florence, Pisa, Rome, and Venice during Spring 2015, and they were the most beautiful places I've ever been. Seeing your video brings back the memories :,) I recommend visiting Florence if you haven't been there yet! The people, atmosphere, history, art, culture, architecture, gelato, and food is all simply breathtaking! Also one last thing, did you know that it's illegal to feed pigeons in Venice? I didn't until I came back from my trip hahaha! Thanks for posting this beautiful video!! You're the best!

Okay ahaha your pronunciation of "gelato" and "gondola" was really bad ahahah (it's okay ahah, it's not an insult to you)
As a 19 year old white American male, I did a tour of Europe where I made it a point to have at least one fight in every country. I would only fight people who seemed to be average fighters for their country, not good and not bad so that my study could be objective. I had an especially difficult time starting a fight in Italy because noone wanted to fight back. I had to resort to spitting in a guy's face in order to get a reaction, but the fight only lasted for less than a minute before he said he was done.
So I wouldn't recommend visiting Italy.
What about the copyright of the buildings? Because I read that Italy doesn't have any freedom of panorama, and how do I vlog there without getting copyright claims and infringements?
I've been to Venice 5 times without riding a gondola-it's tourist trap and there are zillion other, better, more exciting things to do there. Except if you have too much money and too mediocre taste.
Why is it nobody ever mentions the smell?
Not even we did in our vlog.
It's this weird little secret... is it because nobody wants to admit there's a big downside to such a beautiful city?
